Thank you for your reply.
Yes, >2 years with dividends.

BullBearMkt:

@ggoldmine, I will say this is a good question. However, before I could try and delve into this, I would need more clarifications

1. How long is your long-term, 2 months or 2years? We should bear in mind Nigeria economic outlook in general.
2. Apart from capital growth, will dividends be another factor?

Thank you.

Hello everyone,
I am new here.
I have few questions

My Dangote flour mills shares payment has not been made by the registrar. Crescent registrars keeps saying it's until SEC approves it. This has been going on since early last year. What can I do about it

My second question is I have IBTC share i bought during their IPO, I want to sell it but my broker UNEX capital says it not with them since I bought it myself. I collect dividend for it directly in my account. The question is how can I sell the shares I didn't buy through a broker.

Thanks

@emmasoft @ investment one

Can one be able to fund his stock account with card and it reflects without notifying the broker about payment?

Secondly, Can one withdraw money from his account online without notifying the broker about withdrawal?

I need to be clarified in these two issues which are so important in my trading culture.
Thanks

If it's below, then you should focus on stocks with a price of 5 naira or below.

If you find a good kobo stock, then go for that.

Those who bought Jaiz bank at 0.60 naira have tripled their money...

Right now, i don't know any good kobo stock but perhaps yMcy56 can tell us what's on her 'miracle' portfolio.

This is not to judge the advice or anything. Just a thought.

I don't think one's capital should solely define whether to go for blue chips or kobo kobo stocks. I belive that 40% price appreciation in ZENITH is the same yield as 40% price appreciation in WAPIC. And I think a 10million Naira investor needs yield on their capital as a 50k Naira investor does. Kobo kobo stocks need big monies (translating into required volumes) to move stock prices too.

I know your advice is in good fate and informed, boss. I'm just clarifying things so they can view the approach holistically.

NB: the two stocks mentioned are only references, not implying any recommendation or otherwise.

For the DFM u can personally make an enquiry from SEC to ascertain the truth of what they told you. As for IBTC, take the share certificate for verification via their registrar when the shares is verified into your CScs account then you can sell. I will advice u do that timely now that the price is up.

Most of these stocks were mentioned and highlighted here, even long before they started appreciating in price...

Except you're for long term and have funds to stake on other stocks aside it.
UPL is very illiquid and can tie your money down for long.
Besides, it trades in range...
Except the management decides to give out mouth watering dividend for the last financial year (ended in March), then, I'll say, look elsewhere.....but if bouyant and have deep pocket, wait for it to come below 2, then buy.

*Pls note that this is purely my opinion.

The shareholders of DFM have been paid off for about three years now or so by Olam. I guess that is why there is a bottleneck. Actually, it can only be done through the registrars so you just need to be on their neck.

For IBTC shares since you bought from the primary market, you suppose to have the certificate. If you don't have it, visit First Registrars with your means of identification to complain of no certificate. At the registrar's office, you will be given a form to be processed by your broker. When they are through with the process, you will have the shares in your cscs account and will be able to sell yourself if they have an online platform or you give a sell mandate to your broker.

If you can get Lasaco cheaper, you can buy.... *Edited*

I still feel bullish on it.
I have my reasons. Though may not be generally accepted by all but pick some.

*After the reconstruction, the total outstanding shares was reduced to 1.834B
* Out of the 1.83B, only 870.8M is for free float representing 47.50%
* Other %, 59.65% are in the hands of the substantial shareholders and networth individuals.
* Lasaco is one of the core insurer of Lagos State; Lagos govt has stake and interest in the Coy.
* At N2.69, Lasaco is presently trading@0.67k and is paying a dividend of 0.15k (even if split into 4, it's still trading at a yield of more than +5%).
* 2022 fye was very good, Q1 was solid
* If Q2 should come out fantastic, then it shouldn't be trading below N1, i.e. N4 in near future.
* The Federal arm, BAT regime may favour the coy much more, with Sanwo-Olu as Lag govt.
* If Sovereign Trust could be selling for 0.61k without dividend, then I don't see Lasaco selling at same price as STI.

If you're for investing: Pick UBA or ACCESS
OR, *preferably, hold your money for now*

**Caveat: Nobody should crucify me o. That's my take on it. Sentiment also matters in this market. DD applies* tongue
