I knew Pooles time as a warrior was over, what I didn't envision it'd go down this way ...
The warriors must be real sick of him to trade him for CP3.

Warriors fans will love Chris Paul now whether they like it or not cheesy
Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 8:45pm On Jun 22, 2023
What the F is this nonsense abeg?

I know they offloaded Poole's contract but for CP3 that would probably miss the playoffs?
How hard is it to get a decent big for Pete's sake?
This team dey stress me huh

Looks like Brad Stevens learnt a thing or two from Danny Ainge about roster construction and piling picks grin
Brad Stevens on his ski mask shxt. How will they fit Porzingis, Horford and Williams in that front court is what I wanna see.

And the cap space. Porzingis feels like a rental. No way they can max Tatum and Brown and keep these guys right?
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 8:59pm On Jun 22, 2023
I hope Golden State know what they are doing sha.

Next season

39 year old CP3
36 year old Steph
34 year old Klay and Draymond

All guys with lots of basketball under their belt. Still no big. Why didn't they go for Porzingis instead

Porzingis is Big ALs long term replacement. He is a more offensively skilled Big that can also stretch the floor. Horford's minutes and games will drop, we burdened him with way more than his aging body can manage last season. The Celtics plan to max both J's, we are not losing JB for nothing, the worst that happens is a sign and trade but I am convinced Brad will offer Brown the super max this summer. Tatum is not due the supermax until after next season, so it is possible.

More importantly, CP3's style is polar opposite of how the Warriors play.

Whatever they are building is nonsense especially with Draymond and CP3.

Yeah Okolie is not cultured.

The problem is that there are enough good fights to go around especially between lightweight and super middle weight., but somehow these boxers keep ducking one another like gymnasts.

P.S It was IBF that came along earlier to join WBA and WBC. WBO came along later.
I think the lower weights have a lot of good fighters which is why it's a travesty none of them have fought. Just carrying fugazi 0s all over their record

Haney, Tank Davis, Shakur all in the sake weight classes nobody has fought themselves

Ok this makes sense. Horford does not look like someone that has more than 1 season left on a contender.

You're going to have to pay Brown clearly. The issue is if it winds out being a bad contract it will be incredibly hard to move him.

The way I see it Tatum and Brown have to be married for the foreseeable future

I want to see how they function on the court. I am open to being proven wrong but this looks like a mistake.

Steph and CP3 at this stage of their career are defensive liabilities. CP3 cannot score like he used to and how will he and Draymond on the floor together work out? Who plays off the ball

This team will definitely be a sight for sore eyes. What's worse if Poole goes to Washington and cook these guys are going to look very stupid wasting another year of Steph while they will be stuck with an aging untradeable Draymond and a finished CP

Short of the Warriors winning the title this trade and season is more or less a wasted one

CP3 played princeton offense well under dantoni in houston. That game he missed versus warriors was our ring that got away with his injury. Ever since then, he gets injured at the time it matters most - in the playoffs in must win games.
EDIT: Yeah he bumped heads with Harden, but that was more about Hardens behavior than the system we ran

So as an NBA fan, I want to see what a Curry Cp3 combo looks like, since I never got to see a Kobe Cp3 combo. On the other hand, getting older seems to be the wrong move for the warriors.

Everytime you say Big Al, I keep thinking Al Jefferson - till today I am shocked how he never became the superstar center

Ahhhhh! Al Jefferson had the potential but I don’t think he was technically gifted enough to uplift his game past his ceiling.

This deficit also made it difficult for him to evolve with the game. Getting drafted out of high school without those technical and fundamental skills was always to limit his ceiling.

Also, Al struggled with injuries and weight issues throughout his career. His time at Utah is possibly his prime. He is only 38 and that buttresses my point about how injuries derailed his longevity in the league.

So Wizard are losing both Beal and Porzingis and getting Tyus Jones?

That GM should be shot on the blokos.

I wish Brad will take a chance at Emoni Bates in the 2nd round. He struggled with the hype when he went to Memphis from high school and of course some off the court issues but this kid is a baller.

We have a strong organizational culture and locker room that can help him develop. How does B. Miller get picked 2nd overall and Bates is in the 2nd round.

Whoever gets Bates is getting a baller! Just need to surround him with the right people and culture.

They are in rebuild mode so they need to shed those heavy contracts.

May the Lord deliver us from employees and girlfriends like Bradley Beal. Tantalizing you with potential year after year, until one day you are forced to admit all na cap, nothing of substance will ever come of this relationship. You just wasted 5 precious years, you might as well have slept in, smoked w33d and used all that money as toilet paper. smh.

The Cavs have drafted Bates, I wish the kid well and hope he has learnt his lesson. He has the potential but needs guidance and support.

Its just frustrating to see their penchant for small ball without mixing it up. Its obvious to everyone except them that their front court needs help. Lakers who beat them at the western conference semis got the bigs, they've got Davis, Mo Bamba and Tristan Thompson. MVP Jokic is still there. Still, GSW thinks they need to go smaller, All offense, no defense. I think Bob Myers leaving is affecting them already. It's sad but I think the plug has been pulled on GSW's dynasty.
Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 6:44am On Jun 23, 2023
I think the warriors have accepted that the dynasty is over, they want to pay the big 3 for the next few years and tank. The unfortunate thing is that Steph is still playing at MVP level.

I forsee a situation where Poole becomes focused and turns to an all-star at Washington

Poole was never going to make it at the warriors, even if he cooks at Washington, his days are over with the warriors.
He got a big ego too fast. I knew it was probably over when he was playing poorly in the playoffs and refusing Draymond handshake. Steph had to intervene. I think he ignored steph even. What's worse than an overpaid, underperforming player, an overpaid underperforming incorrigible player with a bad ego.
His is a lost cause.
However, getting CP3 is what I don't understand. I refuse to believe this is all there is to it....

It will definitely be an interesting experiment because CP3s game and the Warriors style is so different

I can't imagine that starting V against Lakers or Denver lol they will get destroyed. I'm sure they will get a cheap big somewhere but this move hardly makes any sense

They might be punting on this season knowing they're unlikely to win, probably decided they would rather pay Draymond than keep Poole and use CP3 as a rental.

Bro, remember when it was apparent to all here that our problem during the playoffs was a reliable offensive big

But No? GSW decided to go for a small dude. And not just any small dude. Someone who is aging or has even aged self and has never won a championship

Kai, I'm surprised
