My interview answers was not wrong I think but I was nervous at first.

V.o - when did you finish high school
Me- 2020

Vo- have you ever traveled before
Me- no

What will you do after you finish college:
I’ll come back to Nigeria and work here.

Vo- sorry I can’t approve your visa at this time.

Guys I later discovered my sevis number was not updated on my visa appointment and I choose self paying for my fees on my ds160.
Your denial had nothing to do with sevis. Your answers were too basic. You need a lot coaching and studying. Work on your method of processing and answering questions. Good luck

did you get any form of funding in any of them? if not, which one has a lower tuition? have you tried requesting for funding from the both schools? which of them is more responsive?

Hi guys ! I don’t know my way around here. Got an admission into St clouds State university Minnesota for Bsc program but I had to defer my admission as my passport had 6 months to expire. Already paid sevis and visa fee. Now I’m typing ti get the admission back but school insists that I need a date as too many backlogs from Nigeria . Any link to how I can get a date to meet up with the FALL admission ?

University of New Haven offered me 30% scholarship while University of Georgia has zero funding. Both COA are roughly the same though.

which do you like best, which one is giving you funding or has low tuition. why do you like the school, and what about the school made you choose it that's what the VO will look out for.
I actually like the program at the University of New Haven more. Besides the UNH is offering me 30% scholarship while UGA didn't give me any funding. I got admitted into the University of New Haven first but thought to apply to UGA since it's more highly rated.

ds160 shows I went for computer training from 6 months after graduation in 2021 and then I went for make up class but i didn't add that since it won't help me. I'll reach out and yeah my goals after graduation doesn't look grandiose enough

Guys Think about this- if you're rejected and it's more than 6 months but less than 12 months, which option are you choosing?

Go to youtube and watch ARGO visa interview tips... I think you could also benefit from EducationUSA Lagos or Abuja...

The visa fee is about 150k now if I'm correct.

Take your interview as if it's a job interview. Prepare a convincing response to likely questions.

Your last point come back and work here should have been more specific so they know you have done proper research.

PS: Just my candid opinion.

I believe admission is closed for 2023, you should start preparing for spring intake in January.

As for links, just post your question as you've stated here on Google. All the best

Hello everyone,I’m in such a dilemma and don’t know how best to tackle this. I’d like to start my application but my issue is with the proof of funds. Can I still apply if I build my bank statement for 3 months because my dad is a trader and retired now. He has houses I can use to support my application and I also have a land and a car I intend to convert as my funding. Do I still stand a chance and what will be the best funding option for me. Can I use a friend’s statement or does it have to be someone related by blood. I need the best way to handle this.Your contribution will be highly appreciated

Hello,

Having sufficient proof of funds is indeed important to demonstrate your ability to support yourself financially during your studies.

Regarding your situation, building your bank statement for three months can be a good approach to show a consistent financial history. However, i usually advise 4-6months. It's essential to ensure that the funds in your bank statement are legitimate and can be traced back to legal sources. Including documentation of your father's properties, such as the houses, can also help demonstrate additional financial support.

Using your land and car as funding options may be possible, but it's crucial to provide supporting documents that establish their value and ownership.

Using a friend's statement may raise questions about the authenticity and reliability of the funds. Family fund(Uncle/Aunty…etc) is way better than this.
