Mcy is on ban o.....your B.O.T don ban me, so I dey holiday. smiley

Btw, some of the stocks stabilized and some are reversing yesterday's shedding......with bids higher than offers in quite some, including some of the banking stocks.
The volumes are still noticeably there...
The bull seems to still be around the corner.....

We'll see how coming days will be like.....

I have some fund to invest. ETERNA or MRS Oil, which is better deal for a short term of 6 months to 1 year?
Any guidance from our gurus in the house will be most appreciated.

The way I understand it, brokers make the deals and send values to CSCS. It's possible they will choose high offers from their clients (for a buy order) and execute in-house before CSCS knows about it. I stand to be corrected.
This is very wrong!!
Guess what you're referring to is Cross Deals and not for individuals.
@frangel replied you well.

If you have three different brokers already it means you have three different cscs accounts as well and if you didn't supply one CHN when opening the other two after the first one, it means you also have three different CHN.

There is really no issue but it's tidy and more convenient to manage your accounts if you have one CHN across all broking firms where you have an account.

Please note cscs account will always be different from one broker to the other just as your bank account number in first bank cannot be the same as your bank account number with GTBank.

However, by choice, you can have a single CHN across all the firms where you have cscs accounts.

Check my earlier posts on this thread for more explanation if needed.

If Transcorp should unbundle, how much do you think the power segment will cost, given that it has double the capacity of geregu?
Mind also the price of transcorp hotel in which transcorp shareholders have a huge majority shareholdings.
Why is transcorp price so so low?

Lol. Na promise be that o.
But you know why I said it was luck? It's because if SEC had given the approval for 0.48k buyout price before the coming of the bull, then possibility of Courtville to have finalize payment arrangements as well as commence payment is there.
......but you may be right after all.

Again, you did not understand his question.

He asked this question, " with the current increase in stock prices will the companies increase their dividends" ?

And I said there was no relationship between stock price increase and dividend increase.

Dividends are paid from earnings

It is earning growth that determines sustainable stock price appreciation.

Increasing the dividend due to earning will increase the stock price on the long run, ploughing back the earnings to reinvest in the company will compound earning growth .

Can you explain, dividends are not paid from earnings but from reserve.

Good companies, with good current financial performance pay dividends from their earnings

Thank you my brother
Dividend are usually from the reserves
I attached this document to buttress my point
Have a nice day
