With what is about to go down in fbn. Any bank that the ceo is not having anything above 10 percent is going to witness serious insider dealings/proxy buying. They won't want to take chances..I hope Tony equally has upto 10 percent in transcorp as per power sector

99% of people who attend AGMs are there for only 3 things.

1. The free food and free gifts
2. The meeting sitting allowance that is normally given to the do called Chairman or Chairlady of different shareholders associations. to be distributed to their supporters and praise singers.
3. To vote in their own paddy paddy as Members of the audit committee of the company. the duty of the audit committee is to allow the management of the company, the board of directors, and the external auditors to prepare doctored financial reports. In return they get well paid. During some of these AGMs, those contesting for the audit committee jobs, go to their villages, and import several hungry old men and women who they have bought 1 unit each of the company for , so that they can come in and be allowed to vote, of course for them.

They have a complete list of all the AGMs to be held for the year, and they do well to attend all of them.

All those who attend AGMs are mostly old and poor persons who have at least 1 unit of shares in all the companies in NGX & NASD. They are neither investors nor traders in the stock market. Just exploiting the policy of companies to provide refreshments and attendance allowances during Meetings. And AGMs being a Company Meeting, do the maths by yourself.

@locodemy, take guess work out of investing and trading, the Sentimental analysis, TA, FA are not in favour of IB.
You will need to wait for at least 2 more years before you can taste the honey pot 🍲 of IB. Disinvest your holdings in IB and Reboard the hidden black gold deposits that would soon be struck in Transcorp.
IB is terribly behind, moving at the speed of 🐌 snail, highest level of corruption and selfishness by the executives and management team. Everywhere you go, IB products dominate, still no impact on share price, no dividend for a decade, no capital appreciation, every year cost of sales consume over 50% of sales.
For now IB has zero plan for rewarding investors. The share price might even go sub N5.
The best prayer for investors is that IB should be delisted, and that a Big 🐋🐳 should come on board and do the needful.
Nothing is going to change in the next 2 years.
From a contrarian self investor, point of view, You can Bank 🏧 on your believe.

I am 100% with you with this submission and your recommendation of Transcorp Plc. You hit it well.

Very obvious that IB needs urgent attention regarding restructuring their books and finances. To me, and just like this writer said would not come soon

Meanwhile, I saw an ongoing merger transaction documents between Beck Beer (international Breweries Plc) and Champion Breweries (Heneiken) with one on my guy working with one of these financial advisory in the country

@Pa Emma the greatest of the greatest Akokites, I'm proud of you.
Weeks back I proposed ASI of 70,000 by December 2023.
NSEMPA labelled 🏷 me Mr Optimistic.
What work well for me in NSE, I use TA to surrender a position, FA to invest, SA to reinforce my investment position in Fundamental stocks.
I'm still Optimistic of ASI @70k at +/_ 5%
Using the combination of ongoing economic reform, Anticipation of Foreign Portfolio investors, Hedges for inflation, Expected competition between local and foreign Portfolio investors, currency devaluation(Unification), Subsidy removal(Pump price increament), Any good news and additional good news from Aso Rock will add +/_ 1.5% to 3% daily to ASI.
If Tinubu wins at the Tribunal, the market rally post judgement will add at least 4% in the judgement week.
With all the above, patient self investors should position themselves for one of the biggest windfall in the history of equity investments.
The ice on the cake is coming, once the crude oil inflation strikes the market.
The inflation we are seeing now is (monetary)currency inflation due to post pandemic and the ongoing war in Ukraine that disrupt the World economy. The US treasury keeps increasing interest rate.
The World have under invested in crude oil exploration and production due to energy transition without the anticipation of Russia war, this has grossly impacted Global economy.
As at the time of drafting this more than 30 edge funds have placed a bet on crude oil inflation for 2023/24
We do not know the future but we can always seize the opportunity of today and face tomorrow.
The search for Warren Buffett type of stock in NGX is ongoing. It shall be announced with a strong sentimental back up.

You will wait for years for IB to strike N30.00
The sentimental analysis I commissioned for IB is saying No ,no, no.
The Breweries industry in Nigeria are currently working for the Federal government. It is extremely difficult for them to reward investors. Nigeria government is anti-alchol, they just slammed the Breweries another excise increament.
"Excise tax rate increases ranging from 20% to 100% on previously approved rates for alcoholic beverages, tobacco, wines and spirits—effective 1 June 2023"
The funniest thing, Tinubu did not consider the Breweries when he announced the suspension of 5% excice duty in the Telecommunication industry.
In life, you cannot give what you don't have.
IB that refuses to respond to the best bull call in 15 years hx of Nigeria Xchange.
Surely, you are seizing your today in an unpromising but a hopeful company. Let's see if the FGN will accept the plea of the Breweries.
As today is ,tomorrow might not be the same, however as tomorrow will be, we begin to have a glimpse today. Like we know, tomorrow will be bullish in all HH.
If hope is a strategy in stock investment, one would have been a multi billionaire in NYSE.
Just my view, I advise you to seize your next market day in HH.

It appears the 2007/2008 times are back as we seem to have begun seeing an indiscriminate bull touching nearly every stock so much that even previously dead and fossilized stocks are beginning to record activity obviously due to acute scarcity of the conventional ones. What appears as the driving force behind the rally now is definitely not FA or TA but obviously the case of the available becoming the desirable on account of the desirable being unavailable.
How long this will last is what no one can predict with certainty.

Based on the latest market update sent to me by United Capital the average

Price Book ratio on NGX is 2.2

Average Price Earning ratio is 11.1

Based on Graham's model, at a price book ratio of 2.2 the average return on equity should be 16%.

Based on an average return on equity of 16% the justified average Price Earning ratio on NGX should be 13.75.

With the current average PE of 11.1 the ASI will need to increase by 24% to have an average Price Earning ratio of 13.75 or ASI of 78,000.

Considering the current yield in the bond market, the expected increase of 24% will be discounted to 20.5% by using the average yield on a 10 year bond and the current yield on a 10 year bond.

So we should be looking at ASI of 75,000 for the NGX to actualize its intrinsic value.

I will advise people to look into stocks whose unleveraged return on equity is more than 16% although 20% and above is preferable and currently have a Price Earning ratio of 12 and below.

My opinion though.

Please do your due diligence
