Of all the people in Nigeria, is civil servants that you pity? Are you okay? Or are you having a beef with any of them? Civil servants that no matter how bad the situation may get, they're monthly earners.
What about private school teachers? What about those that earn very little? What about those that don't have jobs?

Nigeria generate close to $150 billion in revenue annually so the FG can afford to do this, heck Lagos State GDP is larger than every african countries except Egypt, SA. Rivers State GDP is larger than most west african countries. Kano State GDP is twice larger than Niger Republic.

>Create Industrial zones in the six geo political zone and encourage manufacturing of Agro products by giving tax holidays for a five year period for prospective investors.

>Grant Solar companies like SUNKING tax breaks and finance in other to reduce the cost of those solar kits for homes and small businesses (This takes care of generators to an extent)

> Funds to encourage state governments to procure big luxurious buses for cheap transportation.

> Increment in minimum wage.

> Tax reduction for manufacturing businesses already operating in Nigeria.

Those palliatives are not only very different from our regular approach but they also encourage production.

Even if it is effective and it gets to the right people, it is too small

Nigeria is so unfortunate because some criminals will not allow things to go the way they should. Nigerians need a genuine leader who is selfless, not corrupt and has a lot of empathy for the suffering common people.
