Nice2023:

Since 2020 u joined naira land u have no topic to boast of...not even a three line topic, but u could have the guts to condem those who have kept this platform going.

Shame on u.

Enemy of progress.

From your statement, I can gauge ur stretch of reasoning, so I will not argue with you any further.

It is waste of my hard-earned time.

Draslo:

Rent : 1.5m (2 bed flat in a Middle class area)
Power : 300k
Petrol/Diesel (car, business home) :
Break down (petrol): Car -15k weekly = 780k
Home - 10k weekly = 520k
Businesses - 30k weekly
Total for petrol : 2.86m
Feeding : 1.825m at 5k daily
Miscellaneous : 1.5m
Village People problems : 1m

Total is 8.68m...

My conclusion. You cannot earn 500k and claim middle class anymore. You can't even save and this is for a single person.
You can cut your coat according to your size but you definitely can't claim middle class anymore

Very nice breakdown. Then add school fees and middle class kids problems like having the latest video games, trainers, theme birthday parties etc cheesy

Raising a kid between 7 and late teens in middle class should cost anywhere between an extra 1.5m to 5m.

Middle class is $1000-$4000 monthly, all across Africa.
(So currently: N700k - N3M)

Nigeria 🇳🇬 included.

When you start earning it, you'll notice it's just that -- middle class. (But it can help you live a kind of rich life, if you are wise, meek and honest).

No middle class.

In Nigeria what we have are
1. High class
2. Low class &
3. No class/classless (the poorest of the poor).

Unfortunately you are 💯 right about that.

I put it to you that you just dropped a figment of your imagination..
It's allowed.

(If what you dropped here was ever true, then, nothing would have ever concerned you with the middle-class to start with...)

Any household earning less than N3m per year should not be classified as middle class not to talk of N500k. That’s ridiculous.

30k per month is 360k annually. You belong to the poverty stricken category. You should apply for Tinubu’s monthly 8k. No offense, please.

You are absolutely right.
Since subsidy was removed, there is no middle class in Nigeria anymore.
As someone above said, in Nigeria there are only the rich, about to be poor, and the poor.
Re: Who Are The Real Middle Class In Nigeria? by benqo01(m): 12:44pm On Jul 16, 2023
In Nigeria we don't have middle class citizens,it is either you re rich or poor

And the gap is getting wider everyday well thanks to corruption that is not even closing the gap

God help us

You actually think Lagos and Abuja are the only states in Nigeria. These numbers only hold in some parts of Lagos and Abuja. They don't hold any where else in Nigeria

So you think someone earning 10M per annum can afford to live in Banana Island? Lol!!!

When rents can be more than 10M per annum?

So living in banana island is your measurement of how rich someone is.
