It is scary that President Tinubu who had always insisted that he would remove fuel subsidy from his first day in office, had ZERO plan to contain the effects of such removal. And his only reaction is to fall back to Buhari's MYSTERIOUS money transfer to the poor and vulnerable. This doesn't inspire much confidence.

Honestly, it is quite shameful!

How on Earth do you spend over 8 years planning and campaigning to become President, yet you never had a proper blueprint, especially when your person from the same party was in power?!!

How do people spend more time preparing for elections than actual leadership?!! Same thing at state level!

Nigeria should start transacting in Dollars. If what drives our economy and market hinges on Forex, especially the Dollars, then we should adopt the use of dollars in the payment of salaries to civil servants.
What these guys are boldly implying is that dollars determines the direction of the Nigerian economy

When I said this is was attacked then. I was shocked to my marrow that all the high talk about having state of the art economic teams and data was all NONSENSE .

He resorted to the same weak strategy that Buhari and his team used to siphoned billions

What this means is that prices in the market can go down at any time and the market will always adjust itself. It is important to note that as of this morning (10:53 am, GMT+1), Brent crude price was $78.86 per barrel.

We will endure till 2027 to vote for any presidential cand that will reverse to status quo. Atiku and obi exclusive bcs they all categorically said they will remove subsidy. And any palliative in nigeria can work bcs of corruption and lack of nationalism./patriotism. How can an ordinary Nigerian benefit from the savings. None. God save is from these calamity

It all good ..las las the President will be force to inaugurated a think tank for his government aka Economic Hit men that would study major economics in the world and see how we can repatriate $500 million yearly from each economy .. if we have target 150 countries that is roughly $75billion yearly..we can draw a master plan.
The West is happy, because they have executed an economy warfare on Africa.

It's time Government took a strong stand against the shenanigans of this so-called IPMAN. Get them registered under the Major Marketers as subordinates at once. Things were not done this way when we're growing up. Nothing like Independent Marketers then, yet everyone moved around smoothly. Why should a human organisation albeit a sadistic one, seasonally hold the rest of us in bondage? We must call a truce with Reason at once.

That is all you folks know, violence, crackdown, arrest, dismiss, etc while other nations run on ideas, innovation and competence.
When they were given licenses wily nily what did they think will happen.....
Of course the fuel importers will invade the foreign exchange market with devastating effect and the surge in the dollar is cycling back to raise prices of their offerings.

They don't need to imply what is obvious to everyone...!

That's the main price to pay for years of embezzling and diverting funds meant for building and upgrading refineries!

If all the money wasted on so called projects by Buhari had been successfully poured into refineries and ensuring at least 2 function fully, we won't be entertaining such shameful excuses from NNPC and IPMAN!

What we see now the current price is a reflective of the world petroleum market forces. I am optimistic that the price would come down but what is the provision to cushion the effect? This is the question the FG has to implement with immediate effects
