I hope folks will not begin to break into parked cars to steal fuel.

I believe that's already happening in some places!

People will seriously need to secure the cars and fuel stations now!

What these guys are boldly implying is that dollars determines the direction of the Nigerian economy

The dollar is not an animate object. It has no feelings.
It is a medium of transaction and its value reflects those that use it.
If you don't use it or cultivate plenty of it, it will lose value.
If you need it to breathe, eat and piss then it will dictate your life.
If you grow catfish you will hate eating it. It will absolutely disgust you.

Do you know how much Nigeria will make or save if the cost of government is reduced?

That's is what Obi is coming to do, and that's why Owo-mI-Da Entiltled tribe don't want him in.

It is scary that President Tinubu who had always insisted that he would remove fuel subsidy from his first day in office, had ZERO plan to contain the effects of such removal. And his only reaction is to fall back to Buhari's MYSTERIOUS money transfer to the poor and vulnerable. This doesn't inspire much confidence.

Nigeria should start transacting in Dollars. If what drives our economy and market hinges on Forex, especially the Dollars, then we should adopt the use of dollars in the payment of salaries to civil servants.
Correct. Make we Abolish Naira, since our leaders have proven beyond reasonable doubt, to have poor understanding of basic economics

They should pay us in dollars. Shikenna

Don't mind them.

- If we have Obi, we will save a lot of money and invest it in Nigeria Breweries, Guinness, Hero beer, Alcohol distilleries, and many local palm wine businesses.
- The remaining savings we will keep it for Nigerians at Fidelity Bank where Obi's stake in the bank will make sure our money is secure.
- Also, the accrued interests will be invested offshore in Obi's family name, preferably his daughter, as that worked very well in Anambra where we all trust him and his daughter very well.

The entitled Nigerians won't understand this simple and effective model.

PBT is making the biggest mistake if he does not bring Dangote refinery supplies into the distribution mix in July as was promised. It will be the biggest mistake imo.

The hawks are already gathering and trying to create a racket as usual. Their target is to drive the price up as much as possible to create a price fixing cartel well before Dangote comes on board. This is because Dangote being a beneficiary will conform with their price structure.

Left to be seen…

the law of floatation can never change. #800~815/$1, pms will sell at that price. Stop the hanki panki,we know. You can't import at that rate and sell less, else subsidy is still very much around.

What we see now the current price is a reflective of the world petroleum market forces. I am optimistic that the price would come down but what is the provision to cushion the effect? This is the question the FG has to implement with immediate effects

It's time Government took a strong stand against the shenanigans of this so-called IPMAN. Get them registered under the Major Marketers as subordinates at once. Things were not done this way when we're growing up. Nothing like Independent Marketers then, yet everyone moved around smoothly. Why should a human organisation albeit a sadistic one, seasonally hold the rest of us in bondage? We must call a truce with Reason at once.

In a free market (one without price controls aka subsidies), there is freedom of entry and exit into the market. Why would the government demand that IPMAN be subject to Major markets in a truly free market? Petrol is now a commodity similar to noodles or biscuit and anyone is free to sell at whatever price they deem fit. That's the reality of subsidy removal
