Until Nigeria is healed of the seemingly perpetual sickness of tribalism and bigotry, we are going nowhere. Where are the Awa lokan ooooooooo?. O ti wa kan everybody bayii, lol. You woke up on an inaugural day like someone who just got nornal from an addiction and declared removal of subsidy when there were no palliatives in place. Not even Jonathan, the clueless one would do such a thing. I remember the Sure-P era. Tinubu was one of those mocking him when all those buses arrived in the country ahead of the partial removal of subsidy.

Governance goes far beyond fulfilling a lifetime ambition grin

I don't know why people don't understand simple dynamics of the Nigerian economy and this subsidy removal,.

With this dollar rate increasing we expected petrol to go as high as 800 per liters. As dollar increases.

Nigeria is not a producing state. Don't lets take it as of the president is the one increasing the fuel prices. It's simply the laws of demand and supply playing out.

What I just don't like was the way he removed it instantly with at least 2 months planning. to put solutions on ground to cushion the effects of this on the poor masses.

This is something else.

All the top 4 presidential contestants said they would remove subsidies, so there's no difference between half a dozen and 6. It would have the same consequence/

The reason why petrol price might have shot up is because of the increase in the crude oil price. Also, the CBN has not done enough to kill inflation. Until its interest rates are higher than inflation, expect inflationary pressure to remain high.

What the country needs now is a new central bank governor capable of battling inflation and given the independence to do his job.

Good evening, what can you say about floating of Naira recently and the 70b for the lawmakers? People are suffering, i saw it in a different dimension today, it has nothing to do with tribe nor religion.

There is no magic that any CBN governor can perform.

Tinubu started on a wrong foot and he is trying to do too many things at once. All his actions since inauguration day has brought one hardship after the other but his supporters are still living in their eldorado illusion.

Why would a right thinking president float naira and remove petrol subsidy at the same time? Do you realize the ripple effect of fuel price increase on every other aspects of the economy??

I never supported APC so I wasn't expecting much from them. But I love what is happening. People need to be taught a lesson that every choice has a consequence.

This is exactly what you get When a country decide to reward clueless party with presidency after 8 years of disaster. E go reach everybody!

Floating of Naira is the worst oh! If you have someone in Europe demanding money from you, you will understand better.

How much is dollar today...do you care to know? There is no way a USD would exchange for 830 naira and you expect petrol to still sell at 490/500 naira which was the price at which we bought fuel per liter the moment we started to buy usd at 645 naira to 1 dollar at the I and E window.

Good evening, i believe that you are learned, we all can defend subsidy removal to an extent but the floating of Naira is evil.

One step at a time ok, subsidy removal and floating of Naira at the same time is the reason why many people are complaining. In Abj today (this evening), many people that begged did not consider religion nor tribe, i did the little i could do and I'm grateful to God for the privilege.
