All the top 4 presidential contestants said they would remove subsidies, so there's no difference between half a dozen and 6. It would have the same consequence/

The reason why petrol price might have shot up is because of the increase in the crude oil price. Also, the CBN has not done enough to kill inflation. Until its interest rates are higher than inflation, expect inflationary pressure to remain high.

What the country needs now is a new central bank governor capable of battling inflation and given the independence to do his job.

Grandstar, please, who does Nigeria's petroleum belong to? The Nigerian people or the Government.

If it belongs to the Government, is Nigeria a socialist state?

If it belongs to the people, how do the masses benefit from crude oil?

As you know, each citizen receives an income from crude sales in Norway.

In the UK, the NHS and other social services benefit from North Sea oil.

In what way do the Nigerian masses benefit from oil?

Should the government misuse Nigerians' oil wealth on bullet-proof cars for "lawmakers"?

These are critical questions.

This is still genesis, by the time you reach malachi, your eyes will clear.

I hate it when some Nigerians are still living in a fool's paradise, how can you expect a thief to become good just because he stole the presidential mandate? This is juvenile naivety mixed with thick ignorance.

He will steal more because stealing is in his DNA.

May your days be long

Normal thing. We are more interested in the long term goals not some short-term pain.
400billion saved from fuel subsidy. 100 extra billion added to 400 to be used as palliatives. Is that how the acclaimed tinubunomics works?

I guess this defence line is from your WhatsApp headquarters, but it is very lame. That they say married men are perceived to be responsible doesn't mean they're responsible in the same way (running the family) to achieve different results (your household values are different from others). I know it's hard, but accept you supported a man without knowledge of basic economics. Removing subsidy and floating Naira (for petrol importing nation), at the same time.

What a clueless accountant (cum economist).

Just imagine a truck was on your daughters leg and was crushing it-would you take your time to look for the "best" way of removing or you'll focus on just removing it as quickly as possible.

What Tinubu has done or approved of is what you call "Shock Therapy." Many economist prefer this to the slow and steady approach especially in country's facing an economic crisis.

Government such as Lebanon, Pakistan, Argentina and even Italy would wish they had Tinubu's power to bring about such change within their own countries.

The end of both subsidies should have been years ago. The petrol subsidy was consuming 20% of the budget. Already debt servicing was higher than government revenue. Imagine if servicing yoyr debts was higher than your salary and it was getting worse every month?

You will get tired of wailing and crying eventually. We are in for the long-term gains with some shirt term pains.
There are no quick fixes and magic. Only an uninformed and semi-educated fool will be expecting some overnight magic.

First, you get a capturing (biometric) date. This is usually the issue in many states, but Enugu immigration office gives dates within days.

Then, they will ask you if you want express. If you say yes, you will pay additional 20k. Afterwards, you get it in 5 working days (max).

You know that passport renewal is almost the same as doing a new passport - just that they usually separate the two groups.
okay, thank u

Tinubu spent a lot of money in billions of dollars to get to where he ought not to be and you expect him not to recoup part of the money so soon.
He bought over all the greedy people in apc include the current senate president to emerge as the candidate.
He bought over the thief in INEC head to declare him winner of the presidential election which he fail to win the state he governed for 8yrs, he did not win his state of origin, he did not get required 25% vote in the seat of power where he is sitting to lead, and you expect him to make things work for your good, just dey play.
Now he wants to bribe nass and njc in the name of palliative. Tinubu is already a failure even before he start.
