Your responses are not sharp i guess..

You were asked have you ever been to the USA, instead of you to say NO, you went to add you never had a reason bla bla bla..

Another thing is you should have said you don’t know anybody there since you don’t have any family there. That you have one Family friend is a lame one!

But sometimes USA will deny you visa for no reason & sometimes you’ll see them approving your visa even despite several mistakes..

It’s based on the luck & the Vo..

You were suppose to come back and work in your father's company... not find a job somewhere. It also means you can stay back to work in United state after your school.

Secondly 50 million annually is too small too make annually with the way you presented your father. You had no business with saying the amount he made annually(except you asked). The account statement already shows that.

You also had no business mentioning knowing anyone in the USA

In all psychologically... you didn't present or project your self well.

Ask many applicants if the US VO ever collected any document from them for review. US hardly look at document. I applied for one earlier this month and the VO didn't ask for a single document from me

reason why I said so is because ones u tell them u have someone there automatically they will know u won't come back. And another reason I think you were rejected was because u don't really have strong ties to your country. Ties like you don't have a family of ur own as in you're still single etc.

Vo:Good morning
Me:Good morning

Vo:Have you ever been to the US?
Me:No, I never had a reason to until now

Vo:Do you have a family there?
Me:No, I don't

Vo:Do you know anybody in the US?
Me:Yes, I have my family friend there?

Vo:what does she do there?
Me:she is a student

Vo:who is sponsoring you?
Me:My dad, he is..... (Cuts off)

Vo: what does he do
Me:He is a successful business man, he's the CEO of bleep global services, he deals with the importation of cars and cars spare parts and the exportation of agricultural products, he's also into real estate, he earns 50m annually

Vo:what are your postgraduate plan?
Me: I will be coming back to Nigeria for the compulsory national youth services, after which I will seek employment in top food companies and hotels, I will do that for a while because I will love to start up my own baking shop and culinary school where I can impact knowledge in those that are interested in culinary world.

Typed for a while and passed me the blue paper.

Please what could be wrong?

You ran your mouth too much.

Simple question and you went on a journey.

The more you talk, the more they see you as some smooth shit talker.

Answer to the bearest minimum.

The immigration officer is not interviewing you for a job and isn't interested in your life . He or She will most likely never cross paths with you ever again after the interview. Why run your mouth to he or she like they will be impressed or give a fck ?

Re: Visa Denied by AlphaWolf27: 5:31pm On Jul 21, 2023
You're jobless at the moment and you've got nothing tying you to Nigeria (something that you're gonna have to come back to e.g. family or job). You're not even sponsoring yourself meaning you don't have money. I mean whose father sponsors him to go visit a family friend. To them, you're a potential runaway in yankee. It's that simple.

Still you had no business mentioning how much your father first except they ask you..

I was denied 2 times student visa " first degree" early 2000 and I still got it later. And nothing has changed much with this VO. Many of them give visas based on their mood. One of the VO once told me after everything. "You are qualified for this visa, but I am sorry I don't feel like giving you" and that was all.

Meanwhile a VO at window 6 was just in a happy mood she wasn't even checking people's documents. You approach her window, she greets you and says " today is my birthday, wish me happy birthday" come back for you visa in two days. She did to everyone approaching her. Lol

How can your father be that successful in business and you aren’t even involved in the business with him or working for him? And you also present his bank statements, company bank statements and your own bank statements to show that you earn money too. You can’t be the son of such a successful business man, and not have such financial backing

This was the problem

Every consular wants to see evidence or hear about something that must bring you back to Nigeria. Many go and never come back mainly because apart from birth, they have no strong bond in their country which would bring them back. You must prove this

I believe this is true.

Except someone applied for Visitation Visa.

That's when someone can say he/she knows someone there because the VO will definitely ask Full Details from the Invitee.

OP,

Your father is the CEO of xyz, he does this and that, yet you are coming back to come and look for job in other company and also to do baking? .

Why are you not returning to come and run your father's biz?

Psychologically that is visa denial...your statement and your intentions don't match.

You get Sense

Why do you say so?

The VO is also a human, some of those questions Op dey give epistle to are yes or no questions or a short answer questions.

Have you been to the us before?

A "No" answer with a bit lightened face may have made the VO to reason OP positively.

You know that kind "this one wey this question brightened this guy's face as if he is going there(The US) anytime soon" kind of vibe, the VO might just use that alone to grant him his secret prayer which is visa request.

VOs are humans and specialized phycologists, you may be surprised to see them granting visa requests to O'Level holders or people without full education and denying those with MSc or PhD visas.

Re: Visa Denied by Nobody: 5:42pm On Jul 21, 2023
When you go before a visa officer, they want to see a lot things including your ties to home country for example.

These are things that tell the officer you will not japa from the US and will infact return to your home country.

Job ties - A Job letter t, Pay stubs, Income tax documents, bank statement with pay that corresponds with the pay stubs.

Business Ties : If you have a business, your business registration documents, business income tax e.t.c

Family Ties : If you are married with kids.

Secondly, The purpose of going to the US might not be strong enough.

The invitation letter may not be sufficient if you don't have a direct familial relationship with the inviter. I always advise to have a booked conference, with booked itineraries for hotels, flight and medical insurance e.tc.

The case officers like applicants who are well prepared. I do this a lot of my clients all over the world with good results.

Also, they might pull your social media accounts and do a quick search for consistencies with other evidence you have provided.

Best of luck next time

It happens and has happened to me before. Those people are crazy.

Just move on bro and try again.

The funniest shit I ever saw in my life was when waiting on line to be interviewed , this Ibo chief came in with full regalia and introduced himself as Chief so and so but was bluntly alerted by the black American interviewer who told him "I ask the questions and you respond. You understand me?"

Another one was one fake pastor who came in with tonnes of paper work presenting certificates of his church and what not and a letter of invitation. They bounce him without taking one look at any of it.

Those guys believe Nigerians will lie and so any too much turanchi raises a flag for them.

But most importantly , and this is for anyone who understands Americans , is that they rely on eye contact and most Nigerians don't seem to be able to maintain eye contact. To an American , that is a sign someone is lying.

Next time, answer only the question you are asked, no blabbing.

The V.O. is more or less psychologist, he's reading your response.

Say one word answer to each question.

Bingo.

Keep it to the bearest minimum and no more than one or two sentences.

Those guys handle thousands of applicants in a typical month. They are not interested in any useless monologue.
