I have tried emailing them but they keep repeating that it is in process. I even tried calling but their line is not going through. Are they now FRAUDULENT?

At this junction, being a fixed income earner whose income has not changed, please advise “i bought fidelity @ circa 0.87k with a lump sum of 500k years ago, now fidelity hovers around #8, I actually dont intend to sell till the news of capital raising is finallised then i can sell off.............,
Im planning to make profit off this capital raising scheme news to come back when the dust settles......

The act of buying more just dilutes my profit as impact of current buy just gets lower as price rises................

The above is a summary of my portfolio.....My prayers are to time the highest junctions to offload

REMEMBER!

Folks (traders/long-term investors, gurus/newbies) as we see the bull all over, dead stocks rising again, fundamental and non-fundamentally sound stocks showing green, 52 weeks high in stock prices, brokers recommendations full of BUY BUY and BUY.
Remember four obvious things:

1. The market can never be in one direction it's always in a circle of ups and downs
2. To control your emotions of greed and fear
3. your investment objectives.
4. 2008

You can sell 50% to 70% of your holdings provided you have identified other opportunities with good potentials.

If you invested the 500k about 4 years ago, you should have recovered your capital through dividends. Your holdings would have paid you a dividend of about 215k few months ago.

I see this dividend growing to about 250k by next year. Not bad for an investment of 500k

Although if you sell your Fidelity Bank shares at today price of N8.45k and use the fund buy a 20 years FGN bonds. The Investment will give you an investment income of 730k per annum for the next 20 years, which you can reinvest in shares

But you need to know that the income is fixed, unlike dividends and rents that can be increased

GT and Zenith valued at around $1.2 billion or less is really ludicrous when you think about it! Not with the kind of profits they print, their brand name alone is worth around $500m imo!

Anyways, lets all change our Naira to dollar dollar grin grin grin grin

Excluding the N4.9 million CBN will pay him when the Investment matures in 20 years time

Not bad for an initial investment of 500k made about 4 years ago, which was sold and the proceed was invested in FGN bond.

The total coupon that would be earned in 20 years will be N14.6 million.

If the coupons were invested for the long term in well selected stocks, the investor would have a wonderful result

This is sweet if you ask me but for people that have high risk appetite like me we usually consider this as side hustle

I believe one can enjoy the market better when you have predictable investment income which you can reinvest as stock prices fall, this will increase subsequent Investment income. Ability to keep on buying in a bear market is where serious wealth in stock market are made

I prefer Money Market Funds to Treasury Bill.

With 100k and above you can buy FGN bonds through Stanbic IBTC Bank or Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers

If you're still in doubt as to which direction the market is heading - Look at Unilever for example.

All the macro and fundamental folks will tell you that upon seeing their latest results yesterday with that headline, it should have had a down day today but what happened?

Retail sold very early, the pros bought it into the close. That is all you need to know.

So much to learn from this.
Delayed gratification. Investing right and holding. Power of compounding. Many possibilities with good knowledge about investing.

Seplat is one of those companies that must benefit from the fx unification stuff. If they calculate their quarterly interim dividend using the current rates, they should have one of the best dividend yield on nse.
Mind you, they earn in USD$
