Word On Sunday Thread Removed! by rontolo(m): 8:07am On Jul 29, 2023
Inexplicably, the Word on Sunday thread seems to have disappeared. I did not ask for the thread to be taken down and received no communication preceding or following this action. It’s unclear to me what may have informed this decision to have the thread removed. It is unclear if events on the thread broke Nrland rules to the extent of forcing a removal.

The thread was an important part of our planned Greater Purpose initiative and I hope it will continue on Nairaland and eventually off-Nrland on a dedicated platform of its on.

It's expected Sir ,so many things were wrong with the former thread though not from your activities.
One of these could have been the reason

1. Alternate accounts and people shamelessly coming out to admit it. Against Nairaland rule

2. Someone whose image is severely battered here during the expose by the FBIs could have reported it to the mod and through the help of the mod,the thread is deleted. (This may actually be the reason)

Anyway the removal of the thread doesn't have anything to do with your dedicated work but activities of some greedy and unscrupulous elements here. Just continuing doing your things Sir. May God keep blessings you. Amen

Greetings sir, I think it's because of the details, Nairaland don't usually allow personal details like email, acct no, to be posted on the forum.

To clear this out: once a person drops his or her acct no, if a person gets or don't get any sum from you, the person should modify his or her comment by clearing everything on the details.

Good to hear from you sir Rontolo, honestly It is because of too many account details and phone numbers that where posted there without editing them later but it has nothing to do with the events sir

The thread was reported by one of the criminals exposed to the mods. I'm suspecting one but I don't have enough proof to nail the person. Don't worry no matter the thread you create on nairaland. We will be there.

Good evening sir Rontolo, Thank you for all you do..... I feel that thread was taken down by mods because of the high number of persons there with alternate accounts...

Going forward with your initiative, i will suggest you use a platform you will have control over, a telegram group or whatsapp group preferablly.... This way will reduce the number of persons using fake stories and alternate account from explioting your generosity ....(my humble opinion)
