Switzerland are not a match to Spain at all. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Odogwujayy: 7:03am On Aug 05, 2023 |
Imagine Switzerland top their group.. Meaning every team for that group na pawpaw. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BronzeTiger: 7:27am On Aug 05, 2023 |
Odogwujayy:Spain have absolutely dominated that game from top to bottom. The Swiss players have hardly touched the ball. Japan whooping them have made some to forget they are still one of the favourites of this tournament. That bonmati lady is class. |

No team can match spain in possession of the ball. They know how to press their opponents and win the ball back |

Big 9 is ready

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jaybee3456: 8:59am On Aug 05, 2023 |
Deltamani:I hope we play a front 2. Pairing her and assisat, cos her hold up play would be massive for us. Again it would give england coach something to think about. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 9:31am On Aug 05, 2023 |
Jaybee3456:England are as strong and physical as any team out there btw. I expect a tight game, but won't be surprised if England score 3 either. They are European Champions for a reason and their manager has the best tournament record of any womens team manager currently in place. Any game plan that Nigeria come up with, will be quickly understood by England and they will adjust accordingly. That is why they are so hard to beat. Intelligent players that problem solve for themselves on the pitch. No-one ever talks about that, but it is a key factor in any sucessful team. Anyway my Prediction for now is like this… England (3)-(1) Nigeria England (1)-(3) Nigeria England (0)-(0) Nigeria (Nigeria win Penalty Shootout).. Still on it though and Predictions would change as game tick to Start on Monday morning.. |

The family bond at the heart of the best defence in the World Cup ❤️🇯🇲 Sisters and central defensive pairing Allyson and Chantelle Swaby have been unbeatable for Jamaica. They have helped 43rd-ranked Reggae Girlz progress to the Round of 16 for the first time ever - taking points from 4th-ranked France and 8th-ranked Brazil - without conceding a goal. Allyson even scored their winner against Panama! And if their father's belief is anything to go by, the best could be yet to come: “I think they’re gonna surprise the world. "This started off in the backyard. They’re always together. "I think that plays a part in the way they’re playing for the country right now.”

BankyGee:I want Japan to win it. I don't want Spain. How did Switzerland qualify from their group sef? That's an eyesore, compared to what Zambia played vs Japan. If you watch the highlights you'll appreciate our girls more. All aerial balls ended up as goals. Kilode? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Playing like to go home sweet their belle. |

daveP:That was the first question I asked. I however remember who were in their group. That game made me appreciate what Randy has done with our team more. Their defence was an eyesore. They made it too easy for Spain. Their goalkeeper is another liability. Both of the teams that qualified from group A are now out of the competition. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BankyGee(m): 10:54am On Aug 05, 2023 |
daveP:And Switzerland 🇨🇭 passed the group stage with a perfect cleansheet record 😯😯😯 The sheet just got dirty and rumpled 🤣! |

FT: Japan 3-1 Norway Hinata Miyazawa scores her fifth of the World Cup to lead the Golden Boot race as Japan join Spain in advancing to the quarters.

Deltamani:Honestly I don't have any hope for that game. Sarina has shown time and time again why she's the best international coach in Europe. England might be playing rubbish but still find a way to win coupled with the biasness the referee on that day might give to them. I just hope I'm wrong. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BronzeTiger: 11:29am On Aug 05, 2023 |
BankyGee:They are very tactical and adaptable to other team's tactics. But I would like to see them against the taller and more clinical swedes if they beat the US tomorrow. |

Deltamani:I’m really impressed by Miyazawa finishing, especially in one on one situation. She makes scoring in one on one situation look easy. |
