She didn't get her facts right.

In Asokoro, Maitama and Gwarimpa, there are a handful of estate apartments where individual generators are not allowed. Electricity stability is almost guaranteed for 24hours. But where any sort of challenges arise, power generating plants have been installed by the estates managements and all you have to do is pay the monthly charges for that service. So you can definitely have that serenity devoid of generator sounds.

Also, there are lots of locations in Abuja where security is handled by the estate managements and you have absolutely no need for a security personnel in your home.

Even wondering how she arrived at that $9,600 for annual rents of a 2bedroom apartment in the US. A 2bedroom penthouse with a sitting area and office space in Dallas went for $4,500 as at last week. Some of these people just lie for internet clout. Abi the moment she crossed the sahel, her brain was formatted to think the Nigerians back at home are no longer capable of reasoning?

Lol, the lady did some delusional tactics well. Most of the things she stated there are lies for USA.

—Consistent internet which will give Wi-Fi for a home for instance should be within $60-$100 monthly. Your phone bill/internet could be $30, but it’s not gonna power most of your household gadgets and etc coz that $30 won’t be on an unlimited data plan.

—How can 2bed rent be $9600 per year? Does she mean in Houston for example, you’ll get a 2bed apartment for $800? She’s probably hallucinating.

In ATL for example, house rent in the city area for that 2 bed are usually within $1500-2500 per month. On top of that, you pay Light bill, gas bill, and the apartment monthly charges on sewage and common area if you live in an Apt. That could be additional $250 on it.

If it’s now mortgage, no way in hell will you get that monthly payment.

—I agree with her groceries of $700 monthly. That still make sense if you’re only spending on food.

However, to go out to a restaurant for 2 people, you spend nothing less than $80-100 in one sitting especially for Nigerian food restaurants. To the club, you spend nothing less than $100-$150 if you factor hookah and drinks for 2 people.

Except if you be get inside person will you even spend that monthly. Coz me I count jollification with food price.

2 bed rent 9600/annum 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Home security $0, I believer she does not have private security systems.

Internet at $30, she also did not include home internet

She lied about the internet and house rent.

An average internet per month cost $50

House rent is $1300 per month on the average

California has a high rent and mortgage rate.

Someone who hasn’t left MMIA will be analyzing cost of living in another country

Are ain't we paying #45 for fuel as USA is paying $45.

Stupid comparison.

That $45 is someone's two hour wage in the US, menial job ooo; can you make such amount in Nigeria doing same job in two hours?

Minimum wage nko?

Thank you my guy!!!.
I can't for the life of me fathom why anyone won't factor in a country's minimum wage when making comparisons between two countries.
Question is, what is the minimum wage of Houston as compared to that of naija?.
Period!!!.

All these stupid people comparing countries.

That is not how you compare, you dont convert the currency to Nigerian money.

This is how you compare
What can 45dollars buy in America
What can 45naira but in Nigeria

Ode, that is how you compare.

Cost of living in Nigeria is peanuts compared to the US. Where in Houston would you pay $9,600 per annum for a two bedroom apartment not definitely in Houston proper. Nigeria that three people can eat a full meal with different assorted meats for less than 10$. Talking about generator this is one of those Nigerians that haven't visited in 30 years, in this era of solar power and 24hrs electricity estates. Talking about security and America in the same sentence is a joke, the crime and murder rates in cities like Chicago. Baltimore, Memphis, Detroit, Washington DC etc or any city with a large negro population is through the roof.

Learn how to appreciate what you have.

Not everyone is a fan of Japa, and not all will do so.

I have lost a cousin on the football field in the USA and a brother to Covid 19 in Qatar too, and it's not new.

Accepted that our electricity is bad, but we're better than some people do.

I look at those that don't have what I have and I never complain or compete with people that have more than I do.

Don't Make Nigeria/Nigerians looks like the Worst in the World.

She must live in an impoverished area in Houston. The cost of the things listed are almost 30 to 50% more. However security is not a must.
