Good afternoon nairalander, pls in my apartment, the bore hole is sunk besides the soakaway and now the soakaway is full, and the water is usually coming out especially during the raining season. I want to ask that is it safe to drink the water. Though we have been drinking it since I got there around 2019 but now the soakaway is full and the caretaker has refused to do the needfull

If a borehole is too close to a soak away there must be a leakage.

God abeg, which kind life Nigerians dey live like this huh?!

What would it cost a Landlord to pay less than 80K to evacuate the soak-away pit of his property for the comfort of his tenants who are already suffering enough in the hands of the Nigerian government?!

Why's everything in this country just fashioned to be an inconvenience to the masses? You'll sweat to pay rents and still have to suffer environmental and health inconveniences such as this. How are Nigerian men ever supposed to get a single moment of respite?

Na things like this dey make tenants gather beat landlord out of anger!

Depending on the depth of the borehole. If it's deep enough and not typical Lagos borehole, it should be safe

Depends on depth of the borehole, if it's deep no cause for alarm, but I don't think it's safe to drink now that the soak away is full.
