When we were telling them that all their prayers were nullity they were abusing us all over. Election are not won on the internet.it requires wide spread acceptability and doggedness. Obi can never again contest for anything again with his approach in politics. |

bibiking7:civil forfeiture, legal process that enables a government to seize property and other assets belonging to persons suspected of committing a crime. The main purpose of civil forfeiture is to provide an effective means of prosecuting criminals and fighting organized crime. A crime was committed by the current president years ago in a foreign country which had to do with funds used for narcotics! A civil forfeiture took place! The constitution states clearly that such individual stands disqualified! Whether civil or criminal forfeiture, both have to do with the criminal activities of the criminal and the criminal stands disqualified! |

Diligence:No matter how long you repeat a lie it can never become the truth, get that right, igbos believe and wishes cannot change facts no matter how desperate they are to turn truth into lies and lies into truth, the fact that igbos made themselves believe Buhari was Jibril from Sudan did not suddenly make Buhari to become jubril from Sudan. bentenny:It was not a crime, if it was, there would be a mug shot, stop deluding yourself, if a kidnapper saved money in First bank and he was caught and prosecuted his money in central bank will be siezed, that does not make First bank to be kidnappers, Tinubu cannot buy America to lie for him. Use your brain |

vannessa7:Read again and stop being emotional! Civil forfeiture implies that a crime was committed.....he was set free after the forfeiture was made! Civil and criminal forfeiture are almost the same....the difference is that if it was a criminal forfeiture, tinubu would have been release from jail after serving a sentence! |

MT:1. sorry, how is that related to the questions and how does it answer the questions? the G20 summit is scheduled to start on the 9th. Tinubu who doesnt have a stake in G20 was already there since yesterday the 5th. those that have a stake in G20 are still at home behind their desks doing their jobs. Tinubu left his job to go sit in India for 5days in the name of "looking for investors". 2. pls how does a president "look for" investors? 3. are the countries who are supposed to be at the G20 summit not interested in investors? 4. how come they arent all in Inida "looking for investors"? 5. what is the job of Nigerian Investment promotion council? |

agabusta:You guys are getting it muddled up! No one is talking about him being arrested or convicted! The question is was a civil forfeiture done or not? If yes, then it simply meant that he stands disqualified based on the constitution because the funds in his possession which was forfeited had to do with crime As long as, |

bentenny:Tinubu was in Nigeria working when this case came up. He found out that his account in U.S Citibank which was also his family account with 1.4 million dollars was blocked. He then got to know that is due to a drug case investigation whereby he received money at some point from Akande a politician who was a family friend to his wife's family. Tinubu was never charged to court by U.S to determine if he was part of the drug ring of Akande brothers (who were sent to prison but never even mentioned Tinubu as part of their ring). U.S.A courts were focussed on the account and reasons why they should cease the account. In the end, Tinubu and his family sued the U.S for his account and became the claimants. Eventually it was agreed that 460,000 dollars be forfeited based on U.S money laundering law where about 500,000 dollars is forfeited from accounts with huge funds whenever there's a suspicion of the account receiving money linked to crime. So this was no criminal case. He wasn't charged to determine his involvement in the drug case. DEA report wasn't even involved. Only IRS. |

GeneralDae:Too much epistle! The case is all over the internet! The funds in his possession was linked to narcotics! He was given a civil forfeiture which proved the funds where from a criminal nature! What does the constitution say about a presidential candidate having a civil forfeiture? What was his initial statement when asked about how he acquired over 600k dollars and yet his monthly pay from Mobil was above 2k? |

We hereby call on righteous democrats never to stoop low and allow Emilokans, Agbadorians, BaTists, & Ebolans to gloat over miscarriage of justice. Don't ever keep mute; they are on the broad way that leads to destruction. Confront them, enlighten them, nay emancipate them; they are obviously bewitched! If anything, they should be ashamed and hid their faces forever |

Laggafin:There is no robbery here, Bro. At some points I also feel ashamed that a person who once got involved in such a case is the president of my country but the court is right in the ruling. Tinubu was cleared by the US embassy as not having criminal records since 2003. The deal is yes he forfeited the money as claimed but he was neither arrested, prosecuted nor found guilty legally. So it's not in the FBI records that he had any case to answer. US embassy's investigation was based on FBI records. So I can say Tinubu is technically not a criminal. The technical supercedes any other angle. But Brother, in terms of administrative know-how, Obi is no where near Tinubu. So you might say Tinubu is good for Nigeria but is not better than Tinubu. |

Angela the fraudulent beggar is back!!! First2love:Beggar Angela Oyom Ubi, you have staged a comeback to your begging ways. Read from below previous posts of yours with different usernames: Chiestar:Another Shinestar2:And Another Bideni:Yet another Rosemorn:Red flag. Disclaimer. Persona non grata. This person, known as Angela, has all these names for just one account in GTBank: Ann, Anne, AngelaUbi, Anngela, Angella, Anna, Angela, Angela Ubi, Angelah, etc. He is a serial criminal scammer and is here to promote his begging advert scam. Go to your church or mosque to beg and stop using different monikers on NAIRALAND to swindle people. You have used over 50 monikers to beg. If you are genuine, you should have been known with one moniker. Using many is a clear indication you are a fraud. The way I see it, you'll soon get deliverance from the Devil. Keep thinking you are deceiving people. There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed; covered that will not be opened. The great day of your revelation is at hand. Be expectant, because surely it will come. |
