Please, I noticed there's serious pullback majorly in banking sector in today's market, could it be terrible results released by unity bank?

Dangote sugar is red anyhow, is it an opportunity to enter or wait a bit more?
I transferred to Meristem since but they are yet to credit my wallet, is that how slow they are?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Kreos44: 3:17pm On Sep 11, 2023
Making money in this market is not for the faint hearted. I waited for pull back in Dangote sugar from the time it was 45ish so i can buy more units, it didn't happen. I finally gave in on Friday and bought at N64. See price now. grin

Na so.
There was a time I always felt someone was watching me. As soon as I bought, the price will fall.
If u go long term, such changes don't matter.

Congratulations to the folks who keyed onto Oando and who are currently enjoying the ride. Relax, we are on an excitingly long journey.

Meanwhile, I will soon reveal one bank that's poised to weather the storms as it embarks on another impressive ride. Be watchful

Why would any shrewd investor book profit when the journey is just beginning? Oando remains the new bride for a long time!

Good luck to those in the bus.

I know we don't measure productivity in most establishments in Nigeria. But closing NSE for an hour or day is counter productive. There are many ways to honour or immortalize his legacy.

Sep Bond Auction:
29s 14.50%
33s 15.45%
38s 15.55%
53s 16.25%

I hope this trend up in rates in the bond auction today is not the cause of NSE dip today. As fund managers attempt to lock in long term high yields by selling some shares to buy long dated bonds.

Yield on long term bonds should get to 18% by December

If this happens, it will mute a Q4 stock rally. And may drag share prices down gradually for the rest of the year.

Could be this. FPIs want to pull out because of the forex issues from Buhari's time.

Today's pullback/dumping was unexplainable so far, especially in banking sector.....
Few other sectors joined towards closing due to panic I guess......
Such moves wasn't expected around this time.....

If it's Peter's school fees mantra, then it can't activate such panic......

If it's the news about FTSE's downgrade, who are they?
Of what value or importance or relevance was their classification to the country?
I think the panic triggered by this was/is unjustifiable!
Those guys always have a mission to distabilize the economy, necessary authorities needs to step in urgently to stop their "cra.ze".

It's irrelevant!
So also these Fitch and the likes.....

Why will they come up with such re-classification around the time the govt was making frantic efforts to woo investors?

What does their upgrade even bring to the table in the first place?

I for one doesn't take them serious anyway, not expecting serious minded investors either.
Mr. Market has a mind of its own, it will stabilize regardless of all the theories the analysts will be coming up with.
