Something is really not clear to me.

Why is almost everyone from the East rushing to Lagos State.

Just an harmless question as is getting too frequent

They want to leave because of that nonsense sit-at-home they're doing there that is having a negative impact on businesses

Folks, in a few days I will be leaving for Lagos . I currently live in Enugu, amazing city. I can move my family, but Wify advised the kids stay back in Enugu for at least another year to enable me settle. For the first time since I got married 7 years ago, I will be leaving my relatively young family behind. I love my children to bits and immensely enjoy every second I share with them. Our bond is so strong. The feeling of staying a day without my babies is completely indescribable. Although I intend to visit Enugu at least once weekly.

Guys please encourage me.

The part that caught my attention is VISITING ENUGU ONCE A WEEK FROM LAGOS.

Let's do the Math.

Assuming you're travelling once every week, TO and FRO = N100,000 TP

4 Weeks X N100,000 = N400,000 a month roughly + Lagos intra movement TO and FRO work and home = N65,000

Altogether = N465,000 per month for transport

Per year = N465,000 X 12 months
= N5, 580, 000

Is that what you'll be spending because you miss ONLY your kids?

How much is your gross salary per annum? Is it up to N15,000,000?

Please, wise up and visit your family once in three months if you know you want to save and not face the dangers of the road.

If you're thinking of using the airline, then we will multiply that N5, 580, 000 by 7 times.

Anyway, Lagos has some sweet campus runs babes that you can lay with if the need arises or better still use a Vaseline.

I wish you a great Lagos adventure.

Cheers!

Enugu to Lagos......Lagos to enugu....?? In one week??

Don't get me wrong, it possible...but it will be exhausting..........
It's not even safe jumping around the road in the current Nigeria.......

A little time apart is not so bad...will make u cherish every moment when u see...

You want to visit Enugu once weekly? That means you want to die young (stress induced). You'd probably spend all of your Saturdays sleeping (resting) from the stress of the week, so cancel that once weekly.
Monthly still works

Better leave ur family behind unless you are staying in a high brow area in Lagos. Lagos life is not for kids that didn’t grow up there

he is not the one sleeping with people's wives. rather, it's the people's wives that are sleeping with him

I've been there and I must say that I totally agree with your wife on the need to settle down first before you move your family. The downside though is the home sickness and the cost of maintaining 2 homes in the interim. Just give yourself no later than a year to settle down (a few months should do) then move your family to join you.

It's all about his kids because someone is already on ground in Lagos to do wifely duties

Believe you in me his wife will not even remember his name but the kids also. So it's normal

Embittered. Because of lack? It's a socioeconomic thing.

If you had such money for tickets weekly, you wouldn't have been giving nonsensical epistles to the OP.

New phase of manhood initiating.

You will now know how much you can really sacrifice for your family.

I'm speaking from a lot of experience: Bro, e no easy!

But then.......

No one said it's easy being a man.

All I will advise is, build good rapport with your coworkers and boss, be ready to cover for others so they can cover for you when you go home to see your lovelies.

Plan to go either fortnightly or once every 3 weeks.....make it regular (equally spaced) so your workplace gets used to it.

When you have the chance to move your family, then do so, but this should depend on how frequent transfers can happen.

It's not too good to shift young kids about frequently.

I've moved three states in 5years. This is the 4th so I ain't moving again. Difficult you know, but I've got to endure.

I appreciate you, thanks..

welcome to living in lagos …you will have to fill a form to join the exclusive MBA club ( Married But Available ) .

In 6-12 months after joining I don’t think you will see the need to have your family moving down here to join you , best you pay them a visit once in 3 months .
Sharon , Derby and Co. will be doing enough work on your body than you can imagine .

I'm also in your shoes, left my family of ten years to work in Lagos. You will get used to it, all you need to do is sit your wife down and have a heart to heart discussion on how the family will pull through the period. Reassure her that all will be well and also ask for her support even though you did not mention about missing her. As for your kids, don't know how old they are but be rest assured they will also adjust. Nonetheless, call them frequently especially on video call. That your once a week travel to Enugu no fit work. Even if you go once in a month, body go tell you. However if you can move your family with you now then do not hesitate. All the best bro

You want to visit once a week, how many days are in a week

You are relocating to make life easier if not you will not be leaving them behind

If you will be missing them, plan for them to come this Christmas, Easter and long vacation to spend that time with you

Give yourself one year and they can relocate to you, by then you would have gotten a school for them

Goodluck

is it sustainable to travel from Lagos to enugu every weekend?let's be realistic about the cost and risks,at least once monthly is ok with enough video calls to makeup while planning to take them in the shortest time possible
