LegendHero:So bankers won't turn to be a middle man? Who'll pay banks for handling peoples documents when the NIS staffs are being paid for same purpose? Banks re more corrupt |
Re: Immigration Clears 60,000 Passport Backlogs In 4 Days – Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo by LegendHero(m): 12:03am On Sep 13, 2023 |
Mohisah: No matter how corrupt bankers are, it cannot be as bad as NIS. Just think about it, how many banks do we have in a state? How many NIS office do we have in a state? If you distribute 50k passports across 30 banks in a state for example. Won’t that be better by distributing same passport in just 2 NIS office within a state? Like that, there is lesser incentive for corruption and the only think that can happen is the usual tips they ask for which will be lesser than NIS own corrupt dubious somehow mandatory cash. 1 Like |

APC set this country back completely since 2015. With GEJ/PDP it was one day. Get into immigration, apply, capture and pick up the same day. Unfortunately APC/PMB/BAT happened and it started taking months. Last year I applied to renew my passport in June, for a trip expected in August. I paid 70,000 for the passport. I got the passport in October. Now they celebrate 60,000 passports in four days as if it is a very big achievement. Yeye people. |
