What can be the reason for someone to get ban for 5 years?

Yes I did an upfront medical.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 4:51pm On Sep 13, 2023
The reasons are numerous it could be as a result of false statement of account, it could be misrepresentation of information. The good thing about Canada is they will send your PFL for you to justify yourself, if you can they it might be considered but if not the VO will go ahead with the decision while for the UK no PFL or appeal a direct 10yrs ban. False statement is usually unverified account from the bank

Hello everyone. Please I need a professional advice.
I have a degree in law (3rd class). So I want to apply for a PGcert in maybe Business related or sports-related course.
I have worked in a law firm for year's. I have worked in a sports agency firm as a legal advisor and now I own my own sports club and the company is registered but the funds don't come in regularly.
Now, my husband wants to be my sponsor and also my younger sister who is a nurse in America wasn't to sponsor too.
My question are as follows:
Can I apply for Linguistics?
Must I be amongst my sponsors since I own a company and it is expected that I should have some money to train myself?
I intend to travel with my family of 5.
How can my sister send the money to me? Should she send it to my account as a lump sum? Or send it to my husband’s account?
I have some money in my company account but football money comes like contract money, not monthly stuff so the account has not been active for a while because I've not been receiving and sending out money frequently
PLEASE I NEED PROFESSIONAL ADVISE FROM GURUS HERE PLEASE. Thank you

While you wait for the pros, your sister should send directly to your husband instead. That way all funds will be coming from your husband as your sole sponsor (which is logical).

What are you scared of? Certainly everyone cant have property...make sure your SOP is right and detailed. Have sufficient funds to cover your living expenses and miscellaneous and a Lil extra. Also sources of funds and all lump sums well explained with complete supporting docs. That's all.
thanks

My question are as follows:
Can I apply for Linguistics? No, because your undergraduate course of study and career is not related to Linguistics.

Must I be amongst my sponsors since I own a company and it is expected that I should have some money to train myself?
yes, you should provide your own POF.

I intend to travel with my family of 5.
You can if your POF can take care of them.

How can my sister send the money to me? Should she send it to my account as a lump sum? Or send it to my husband’s account?
she can send it to your husband account if he has a viable business or if he can explain the source of the funds other than from your sister. Otherwise, your sister should send it to you and use your business to document the source of the funds.

I have some money in my company account but football money comes like contract money, not monthly stuff so the account has not been active for a while because I've not been receiving and sending out money frequently.

yes, you should provide your own POF.
But can't my sis give me the money as a form of deed of gift or so. I don't know what they call it and must all the currencies be in Naira or can it be in Us dollars?
Secondly, Is it my personal account statement that I should submit or company own? I don't think I should submit the company account because im not being sponsored by the company.

I intend to travel with my family of 5.

Hmmmm. Tricky. Depends on the Visa officer handling your application. Many ppl have been denied visas simply because of this payslips and you can't tell me those people didn't show their statement of accts showing their salary inflow. It's a documentation they expect you to have as anyone claiming to be working is entitled to a payslip ordinarily with or without visa application. Am sure you know your next option.

Thank you.
I would also like to state that I'm not the one sponsoring myself, and I honestly do not have access to it. Does it matter if I'm not the one sponsoring myself? Pls help me.

If the person sponsoring you works as an employee then he or she needs to show source of their funds and how they made their money which payslips is among the supporting docs to show.

Yes, I did but my uncle did the application for me and then they sent a PFL, which I didn't know how he treated it, now my agent is angry after showing him the refusal that I didn't share such info with him because he asked me about any possible visa refusal from Canada or U.S which I only stated that of U.S but completely forgot about the Canada since it has been long and I didn't know how my uncle handled the issue

Hello,
1. You shouldn't apply to Linguistics there is no career progression, apply to a sport or business, or law related program it will be easy for you to convince the VO
2. Your husband should be your major sponsor not your sister and Yes you should still show an amount in your account too as proof of your earnings
3. She can start sending the money monthly to build up the account since you haven't applied to schools, your application should be Fall 2024 this will give you enough time to prepare
4. Since you are traveling with a family of 5, the reason you and your husband should be the major sponsor leaving out your sister
5. It is not compulsory to use your company because a lot of documentation comes with that which I am sure you might not have

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 9:40pm On Sep 13, 2023
It is sad knowing the fact that you were refused a visa based on an active ban. As I will always advise during the consultation, good agents are like doctors. When you have a consultation make sure to be open completely declare all previous applications and the outcomes, and answer all questions with transparency this will enable the agent to understand your profile give good documentation, and know how to handle your application accurately.

As we continue to strive for a better japa outcome through the study route let us be guided and review everything should you hire the service of an agent or ask your question on this thread!!!

Thank you
@mairojesse and to everyone
