I don't eat or drink anything until halfway into the journey. Really hate it when I have to use the toilet during journeys. It's just disgusting abeg.

It baffles me how people buy and eat in the bus when traveling,as if dem no chop before they comot for house. Some of dem go dey buy soteey d journey finish.
Let me narrate one terrible experience.
On my way to Kano far back,in a night bus,na so one woman began to vomit and vomit. Wetin happen? Dis woman bought a roasted 'chicken', for Benin when our bus got there, around 11pm.Meself dey see those 'chickens' as vultures o. Few minutes after our bus took off,na so d woman come dey complain to her neighbor say belle dey pain am. Before you know it,na so she come vomit full everywhere. She was fainting o. Na so people dey shout for d driver to stop and look for a hospital. For where? For midnight? D driver no even send anybody.
D woman for die inside the bus but for one aboki for bus wey drop one kind liquid substance in her mouth. Na so d vomiting come stop.

For me o, if e pass banana and groundnut,I no dey buy, even water,na sip I dey sip am until I reach my destination.

There’s a simple rule whenever you want to travel long distance by bus, don’t eat before you leave your house and try to use toilet or take flagyl , don’t drink too much water or drinks cos bus might not stop for you.

I take avomide before eating anything. I always have motion sickness anytime I travel. If I don't take avomide, I'll throw up

My concern is a nurse injecting the patient assuming that he has eaten. Trust me, if it is those strong drug that is not administered unless one has eaten, that patient will not wake up. It is a death sentence. Drugs requirements differ; some require meal before ingestion, while others do not. In fact, eating before taking certain drugs is discouraged. Some physicians may opt to delay the drug's administration for a certain period.
See eehh, If you take a medication that requires food on an empty stomach and didn't experience any adverse effects, it doesn't necessarily mean that nothing happened. It's possible that you simply haven't noticed any immediate or significant effects. Give it time.

And I no too like to dey eat cooked meals on the road.

Na so I reach Lagos, begin dey feel like nylon bag wey breeze dey inside for where I go, nobody told me to call my person close to that area they should start microwaving(heating because cooking a new one go take like forever for my eyes that time) whatever they have at home because I am on my way to there place.

Back in the late 90s, you travel from Bauchi to Jos which is an hour journey, normally in a Kombi buses

It was at Jos you now get a luxurious bus to Lagos.

Not all buses were luxurious. Some were just big buses. One could also travel with J5 buses. I took any of the 3 depending on how buoyant I was or what was readily available.

You're endangering your health. Your kidneys may pay a price if your routine does not change. The least will be bladder and urinary tract infections.

Distance of 8-10 hrs like west to Delta ,PH. Empty everything in the toilet before traveling. No breakfast while traveling. No food until around 12noon, 1pm. Then eat small,drink small. Men with prostate issue should minimise drinking of water

What do I eat sef.. let's see. I take bread or rice (not the regular quantity I'd take). Just something to shock the stomach, and I don't take much water or anything tea to avoid frequent urge to ease oneself on the way.
By the time we leave Lagos at 6:45 am, you're still good till evening.. at Lokoja, approaching Abuja (like another 4 hours), I can now eat moderate food or maybe snacks. Then when we enter Abuja, gbogbo aye. I'd be like.. give me food, I just want to eat food.

Note, It's good to have pills for stomach upset e.g. flagyl or diastop and small bottle of water to swallow your pill without delay when need arises.
Thank God for HIS mercies all those years.. accidents here and there, kidnappings, highway robberies etc. but man still dey. Now it's more of 45 - 50 mins cruising in the skies.

Omo. I can't remember the last time I travel o from even L.G.A to L.G.A self. Business and money no go allow person travel but person go travel sha.

I eat my normal type of food. Just that I don't drink much water during rainy season. Else everything I eat and drink, no need to pass urine or even poop.

This reminds me of two separate journeys I had from Ibadan to Lagos.
The first, two fine ladies sat behind the driver. It was a bus. One was pressed and was shy to tell the driver. No be piss o. Na poo.
I kept hearing the other saying "talk now, talk" the lady could not. She thought she could hold it. Then all of a sudden she shouted " Mo fẹ yagbẹ,"
She couldn't form to dey speak English. Everyone burst out laughing. The friend joined in beging the driver to stop. As soon as the vehicle stoped the lady jumped down and did not even do it in the bush. It was right on the express behind our vehicle. People laughed tire that day. Someone dashed her his table water to wash. She finished and came back thanking everyone. It was real fun.

This other time I no know wetin make me drink tea before living house going to submit documents at the VFS for visa.
We got to the park and discovered motor fare has been hiked upon one flimsy excuse. Everyone dey para but gat no choice. We were waiting for the remaining two people to come. Then three people going together came and they were in haste and didn't want to wait for the next turn. The driver came to appeal to my line to please accommodate an extra person. The other guys on seat don agree na me con say never! Upon unnecessary fare hike. The driver beg tire I talk say he will need to reduce the fare for guys on seat to accommodate an extra person. At last ppl begged and I agreed at last.
We have not moved for 30minutes wen dis piss con dey disturb me. I told the driver that I wan piss o.
Na so the idiatt looked back and give me one kind look. He accelerated the vehicle and kept driving. I called him again, I say I wan piss.
He drove on as if we dey travel go Ghana on high speed. Other passengers started appealing to the animal he kept driving. Na so I unzipped my trouser I wan piss for vehicle floor. The guys beside me shouted at him. "He is about to piss for inside vehicle o" Na so the werey pulled up. I got down and piss. He kept grumbling as I dey piss. I no mind am.
I entered and the vehicle started moving. Not up to fifteen minutes I started feeling pressed again. Na so I talked to the stupid piss say if you worry me more than this I go reach Lagos before I release you. You can't disgrace me for here.
No be for Berger I wan stop to enter another vehicle before but as e con be na so I got down for Berger go urinate before proceeding. Since that day I no dey drink water or tea before traveling again.
