do you have any other group? All they do in that group is to compare osimhen and Nigeria against other African players and teams. Especially those ghanians.

I happen to come across that group a few days ago. True, true, them no get better banter than to compare Osimhen with kudus.. And those South Africans bragging about their stadium and league...

That's true. It's a wrap for us.

I think we shouldn't bother going for AFCON. What do you think?
Saw what you did there 😏

The mask is now a trademark and Napoli fans see it as fashion, forgotten that it is protective mask….I don’t know but it seems Osimhen love wearing it during match matches.
Seems you don't get me. I mean Osimhen should be wearing his mask in training and not just match day.

He needs it to protect his face. Like peter Chech

I don't trust any online website to stream Nigeria's game. They might add the fixture there, but when the time comes they'll display something else or cut off the stream.
The only reason they'll stream this game live without any distortions is because of the opponent which is Saudi Arabia. Cwazy lots.
Why don't you download Live Sports app?

Our Midfield is limited in creativity and fighting spirit. We need to sort this out sooner.

kendrick9:

There was 90mins plus added time to score a goal the Eagles couldn't.
Blame the GK all want, but this Nigerian team have found it difficult to score goals against any semi decent side who put up a fight.
Ghana, Tunisia, Guinea Bissau etc .
Same story...
If the team was scoring 2-3+ goals every game and conceding in equal amounts then you can look to your defensive and GK department.
But these lots are losing 1- 0 and barely created decent chances in these games.

Countdown to Jan 14, 2024: Nigeria's first game at Afcon 23

The fixture list is out. Nigeria starts with Equatorial Guinea on Jan 14.

Next up would be hosts, CIV on Jan 18 and finally we would round off the group stage with the team that gave us our only defeat in the qualifiers, Guinea Bissau on Jan 22.

There was a time i had such feelings about Maduka, but it has changed.

Henry Onyekuru, Paul Onuachu, Anthony Nwakaeme are all S.E materials, but something very vital is lacking in their growth trajectory and it has nothing to do with talent.
It's not talent. It's DNA. They don't have it.

We will not qualify from this group. Best point tally we will get is 3 point. Strikers don’t win games, only a team does. As it stands we don’t have a team. We just have few players that turn up once in a while. Tunisian found us out in the last tournament by clipping our wings … we are now so predictable. In a serious tournament like Afcon most of the teams know how we will play already.
And we, we don't know how other teams will play abi

Perfect arrangement, coming into the second game none of CIV and Nigeria would have qualified, so there would be no holds barred. Then we have the last match against GB to ensure we qualify, all these I wrote is under the assumption that we come out guns blazing against Equitorial Guinea and we must avoid any upsets.

Italian-Nigerian fullback, Michael Kayode makes Whoscored's Best U21 XI of the Big 5 Euro leagues so far 23/24.

Below is a flashback on Flashback Friday to a scouting post I made on him thanks to my Neapolitan friend who brought him to my attention first - June 09, 2022.

More than a year later, kid is now pocketing Kvaratskhelia and making huge waves so far in Serie A. Again, the power of early player scouting and profiling.

I am not capping when I say the Super Eagles/NFF could just need my services (some have said this in here before me even) to catch the best and brightest football talents out there home and abroad, loal and foreign.... it's a hobby for me I find too easy

TheSuperNerd:
Naija Talents Watch: Michael Kayode, 17

Michael Kayode, born July 10 2004, is a Fullback talent in the Fiorentina Youth Setup. Majorly a left back but he is right footed and can also play as a RB. Idolises Cafu

My Italian source(s) quote an Italian youth teamer who knows Kayode saying he commands a potential similar to the ceiling of Wilfried Gnonto of Italy. That is some interesting comparison.

Born in Italy to Nigerian parents.

Another one to be on the lookout for.

21/22 stats:

Primavera1 - 27 games, 1 assist

Coppa Primavera - 4 games, 1 assist (Led his side to a cup win defeating Atalanta U19 in the final 1-0. Featured from the right in the final).

Viareggio Cup - 2 games, 1 assist.

The resemblance is striking indeed, even in their GK style as both love to ball play as well. But I thank the football gods that Adeleye is parallel to Onana when it comes to a GK's primary job - SHOT STOPPING.

I TRULY THANK GOD 🤲🤲🤣🤣 Abeg Make Emeka no see this post. 😁

We have the pool of players capable of winning any match with any country in the world.
What we seem to lack are the brains required to design good wins.
While i will admit some positives about Peseiro, he seems to lack the cutting edge.
Even though we appear more tactically drilled under Peseiro, but he is yet to truly impress me in a way that can inspire real hope.

Going into AFCON 2023, our chances of qualifying from the group stage is 50:50. I am a confirmed optimist, but to achieve good results we have to face facts. We may stand a better chance in the offing, but as things stands Jose Peseiro has not really shown that he has what it takes to lead us to glory with the quality of talents available to him.

I will speak further on this after the friendly matches with S. Arabia and Mozambique.

We are talking about the possibility of winning our fourth AFCON and someone is talking about not making it out of group stage.
This is not a world cup group with Argentina, na African cup of nations

I'm not against sounding out these players but they should never be asked more than once.

Those of you who wanna twerk for these boys to repp us should go read the story of this super talent called Baddredine Bouanani of Algeria who is only 18 but dumped French U19 national team to repp the Algerian senior team. He is the definition of "proudly being Algerian by heart and soul" not all these pretense my boy Komekn comes here to talk about Anglo-Nigerian kids being Nigerian to the bone marrow but yet we ain't got nothing to show for it.

You all said Saka loved Nigeria and was ready to die for the flag, at the end what happened? Look at the other otule at Crystal Palace that went on shouting that he was from Mbaise, what happened when the time came for him to show up?

Omo to me, concentrate on the boys born down here, and if you must sound out those euro born boys, do it only once.
I ONLY ASKED FOR INSIGHTS. WETIN BE THIS ONE LIKE THIS?

Japan's Last Five Internationals

The Super Eagles already have 2 WCQ games scheduled for November 2023 so the possibility of squeezing in a third game is kinda slim or not feasible.

But I would really have loved to come up against this "in-form" Blue Samurais side. A fine solid test, they would be for Jose Peseiro.

They just ended Canada complete with Davies and David 4-1.
