Might be a Nigerian from the name.

But, anyone can do this...not giving him excuse though.

U1:
Some people just won't be responsible and stop giving Nigeria a bad name. What's the sense in making fake offers?

Why do people even do this!

Hi guys,

I registered four expired domains on the 10th and 11th of September, 2023. The domains are due to expire on the 12th of September, 2024. I've been trying to get leads to buy my domains but none ha shown interest yet.

I'm in urgent need of a huge amount of money to sort out my rent and some other debt before the month runs out so I'm willing to sell the domains at a ridiculous price. The domains are:

1. Apartmentsrealtor(dot)com
2. CarServicesChicago(dot)com
3. ChicagoIllinoisMover(dot)com
4. ChicagoElectricBikes(dot)com

The domains were all priced at $300 each but I'm willing to transfer all the domain for just $400.

Attached below are images of the domain under my current registrar, Namecheap.

If you're interested, reach out to me on WhatsApp through 08111327587
#100k for each name. Strange! Domainers here will not only buy names at one-tenth of your asking price, they will also buy better names.

Long story short, he said he's final rate is 810/$ while I insisted on 820/$. His excuse for the low rate that he'd be the one to incurre Payoneer charge. He went ahead to withdraw the funds meaning he agreed at the rate, only for the funds to drop and he's telling me it was 810/$ that we concluded.

Subsequently, he brought up another story of how Payoneer took $3 and would send me $147 @ the rate of 810/$ [$147 × 810 = #119,070] instead of 820/$ [150 × 820 = #123,000]

Remember, he told me the reason for the 810/$is that he would incur any Payoneer charge since he'd receiving with his account. He didn't tell me that the fund won't be complete)

He went ahead to withdraw the funds meaning he agreed at the rate, only for the funds to drop and he's telling me it was 810/$ that we concluded.

Finally, I asked him, but you didn't tell me that the money would also be deducted? which he answered that don't I know how Payoneer used to work? such a crooked and greedy fellow.
I can't believe u labelled him a scammer d way u did because of this thing u just post? I thought u never received any funds from the said person? If this is what transpired, I think u should withdraw your post labelling him a scam. You stated in your post he clearly said his final rate was 810, the only issue I see here is the $3 deduction charge, but I don't think it is enough reason to tarnish his name like u just did.

Around last week, I chatted him up on Whatsapp to help me withdraw $150 Payoneer funds cos I didn't want to lose $30 to Payoneer charges.

Finally, I asked him, but you didn't tell me that the money would also be deducted? which he answered that don't I know how Payoneer used to work? such a crooked and greedy fellow.

In essence, he wants me to lose $3 and still give me the rate of 810/$. Is that not greediness and selfishness?

Yersterday morning, he said I posted a false narrative about him on nairaland that he would reply when he gets back.

Up till now, this criminal is yet to pay my money

Are you saying he never paid you at all or that he underpaid you?

I know Payoneer deducts $3 per withdrawal and that's not all. For every withdrawal below $500, you'll be charged additional $10. If the amount is in excess of $500, you'll be charged 2% of the withdrawal amount ( this has now be reviewed upwards to 3%)

So, in essence, for $150 , Payoneer charges $13 and that leaves a transfer amount of $137.

I don't know about the rate you guys agreed on but this is the situation with Payoneer.

Regards.

All that you listed above are not meant for the OP to pay, since they agreed on a rate, he should be paid based on the rate and no other hidden charges should be deducted from his pay.

What is being underpaid and extra charges being deducted from one's pay called? We shouldn't be applauding little cheats, it will only make our society corrupt and less trustworthy. Any cheat no matter how small or big it is, is scamming.

So he should keep quiet because he received something? Stop trying to bully that guy because he cried out when he felt cheated. It is because we tolerate this kind of, "little cheating" that Nigerians are seen as scammers internationally. Let's start doing things correctly. If you have an agreement with someone ensure you fulfill everything in the agreement. This little cheating is becoming a norm in our society.

There is no little cheat here.
The guy is over reacting, read his post.
The said seller never agreed for 820, he assumed. There is no where he stated the seller agreed, he just assumed & come online to label him scam. I don't think it is fair to tarnish another person business on the basis of assumption.

I think u are not being logical here, I want u to read the above bold statement carefully quoted from op post. The stated agreement was 810, u can see from the post, op just assumed, which is wrong in law. If that guy should sue op for character defamation, the op will pay heavily for it, trust me. Payoneer deducts $3 for every withdrawal including other charges for withdrawal below $500. Op withdrawal is below $500, so the $3 charge is basic. There are other costs which the seller already covered. Let's learn to be fair in judgment.

Mind u I don't know the seller, but judging by op report, this is character defamation & not a case of scam.

From the bolded you can see the exchanger gave the reason why he is going for N810/$, "that he would be the one to incur Payoneer's charges", why is he pushing the said $3 Payoneer charges to the OP?

Has the exchanger not defaulted? Is defaulting on an agreement not cheating by false pretense? Is cheating by false pretense, not also the same as scam?

I have been selling names since 2015, and I have used different exchangers, I have never been mentioned any $3, not that it doesn't exist, but the exchanger factors that in when stamping his/her rate.
