Good morning house, please I am confused on a mail I received from UKVI for additional document. Please what does it mean please?

A criminal record certificate from the relevant National authority in *** INSERT COUNTRY/S *** as you have been present there for 12 months or more (whether continuously or in total) in the 10 years before the date of application, and while aged 18..

while filling your form you have written that you spent 12 months or more in a country… so therefore they have asked for a criminal record certificate from that country eg Nigeria

Thanks for your response really appreciate, also this application is not a rushed one
For future reference, If trip is reduced to 2weeks, how much funds do you think is enough for her to show and also for sponsor to show?
What other documents aside the statement of account does the sponsor have to show
Holidays in itself are usually to be short . A sponsor should be able to show they have funds to cover the trip and more than or enough to continue to live and pay their bills without going into financial hardship.
For example I cant say I want to go on a trip, I have 1 million naira and say my trip would cost me 700k.
The officer is wondering if u spend 700k and perhaps more due to sudden changes in trip, would you have enough left to settle your bills and for your subsistence when you return? If this situation looks like you would struggle after your vacation expenses have been removed and would have little or nothing left to go back to, then this works against the applicant

I submitted:
1. My employment contract
2. My payslips for July, August and September
3. Bank Statement
4. Accommodation booking confirmation (just added it because I already had it but I doubt it was necessary/made any difference)

Congrats, can you list the documents you submitted?

UK and this their Open checks on CAC portals this time is one of their key point in denying people visa back to back. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
i got visa last year went there and come back and re apply for my entire family, have two related company, one is active and one is not, got denied because of the one not active. even though i applied with the one that is active. yet because both companies bears same name only different is Nigeria and Nigeria limited.
be sure of your company validity at CAC portal before you apply for UK

only carry documents there if it is assisted service. If it is self service u don’t need to take them there again if they have all been uploaded

Good evening everyone... please I need answers to these questions. For a 2 weeks trip to UK with my sponsor offering to spend 2000pounds as birthday gift from Sister whom I would be staying with. How much is realist for the part that says how much am I willing to spend personally on this trip? Is it the total which includes my Sister’s 2kpounds or just mine? Also note I have Approx 1,7600 plus Pounds as savings. So how much can I declare from my end? Thank you

If you are not spending anything then it would be 1 pound
Do u mean 1,700 or 17k pounds

I mean 1,700 pounds. Can i put 500 pounds from me and 1000 or 1500 pounds from my sister. Making a total of 2k pounds for the trip. What do you advise?

Good morning everyone
Please I need clarity for this. I intend to visit my biological sister in the UK. However the question asked if I have family in the UK options does not include siblings as seen. What should I fill in there considering it's my Sister I am going to visit? Thank you

Good morning.

Input YES.

You will be asked "what is your relationship"

Then you can pick "sister" in the drop down option.

Hope this helps.

Good day all. Can I book an appointment date first whilst I am still gathering documents for my self service documents online upload? Or must I upload my documents first before I can secure an appointment date? ( Self service option) thank you

Send an email to secretariat@possap.gov.ng requesting for the biometric form.
State your name and date of application. Include your file reference number, invoice number and the email you used while applying. You can also attach your payment receipt to the email.

Good afternoon,please I have a few questions
1.I want to use the pH center for my visa application. The 246k is it for just using the center or my visa fee is inclusive ?
2. If I am to use ikeja or Abuja center do I need to pay any another fee after paying my visa fee?
3. How is much advisable to fill in how much I intend to spend? (Accommodation is not an issue as I will be staying with my brother who is a citizen)
Please any experience or advice will be appreciated. Thanks

You can book an appointment date, however, strive to upload your documents at least 48hours before the appointment.

1. 246 is only for centre. You will still pay your visa fee
2. No
3. Depends on who is paying… partly or wholly? If accommodation and feeding would be covered you should provide amounts for rest of the expenditure eg flights
