Cos they are too angry to even discuss with the very person that upset them. That usually happens alot.

Am naturally I silent guy I don't know how to stay long in a conversation. The things I say though are not just for conversation sake I say things needed to be said and once I've driven home my points that's the end of the conversation.i hate beating around the bush,I hate fabricating tales although I like listening to fabricated tales to while away time So conclusively my partner has to talkative,I mean very talkative if we have to be together.

Well i speak from my own experience and people i've encounted, most quiet people are mean. Be that as it may, they talk alot once they comfortable around and always willing to help.

Fyi being silent is different from quiet, There is a big diff and the op was talking about the quiet type of character not the being silent type, being silent is a tactic for whatever purpose the person intends( which are the kind of people you had interactions with). While being quiet is natural for some people cos they were born that way so stop confusing both.. a naturally quiet person has nothing to do with character its just like being an introvert or a glutton so you cant judge such person generally cos good or bad exists in any type of character..
Am naturally quiet mr nairamaniac and i have none of the traits u mentioned above cos me being quiet has been from a kid that even my mom kept telling me i had to change but why i cldnt is cos we are who we are.. a lot of relationships ended cos of that cos once you talk too much am out of your life and i dont gossip in fact everyone tells me their secrets cos they have found out that they will never hear it from anyone else..i hate people who gossip and i broke up with someone close fr jst that reason..
We are quiet doesnt mean we dont talk but we listen more than we talk esp with people who have high intellect, my homies know that once they start talking about girl escapades and irrelevant stuffs am gone..i prefer being alone reading ,playing chess, black jack or poker.. so you got it all wrong..

I'm reffering to those that are DELIBERATELY- SILENT over issues just as the OP Refered to.
Being silent entails a conscious effort.
Meaning "even when you are capable of speaking, you chose to deliberately stay silent".

You are reffering to those that are QUIET in Nature or by virtue of Deformity&upbringing.
For sure anyone can be quiet by nature.
