if you can be paying 1k pounds or even 500 pounds... they will calm down...

the issue na to see job... if i can see job today then i will be able to raise 500 in a month

i just said let me share my thoughts on uk to Nigerians selling their houses to come..

i need no pity..

but to tell the true situation.

a lot of Nigerians are here struggling with same issues

we only want to heat the positive side but am sharing honest opinion and a' clear warning to Nigerians planing to sell properties to come here.

and those on the application process to think twice... except they have their fees plus house rent and upkeep money running into 35 million to 40 million else stay back
The greatest mistake anyone planning to travel or who has travelled could make is to sell landed property.

Someone who sees this statement now would think Nigeria is a country that’s kind to its citizens. Country that makes life harder and harder everyday for its citizens while the ones at the top keep living in splendour at the expense of the masses, what good can be spoken about it?

You need to first fall in love with Nigeria for you to truly appreciate her..

The mineral deposits in Nigeria alone is enough to feed the whole of Europe for a thousand years.

Blame the bad leaders and saboteurs only after their pockets for the problems facing the country. Running from a rich country like Nigeria to a semi-rich country is one of the most fo0lish thing anyone can do in the world in my own opinion.

Most times the school doesn't follow through on their threat, for any male coming to the UK, if u want ur life to be easy marry and come.

That fees that you want to have HBp for u and ur wife would pay it off in max 3 months.

Only thing is that right now there are no jobs in the UK like that anymore.
Stop playing

Im not saying for now. But when you get out of this tight corner, render kind assistance to other less fortunate people. This is only what we ask people who get ahead. Not to build fence block and fences and walls every where so people dont have reach to them

I like how you're able to say exactly how you feel without letting anyone invalidate your experiences with the usual "when are you coming back" rhetorics.

The truth of the matter is that you're not alone. A client and a friend was still telling me just yesterday how he regrets entering the country through study route as opposed to work. With limited work hours and hefty bills to be paid, one can only imagine what he - and others in his shoes - are going through.

Seeing that you've only been in the country for a month, I'm very positive that things will get better. This stage is probably the most difficult you'll go through; your endurance level will be very very necessary.

If u need job urgently then u go enter streets..

Finding job is more of connect and info.

Online platforms na a waste of time..

You nailed it!

I'm based here in the UK too
That indeed na rubbish and it is saturated.I got lots of unfortunately from them.

I got my jobs through recommendations from friends.

Also, make the guy enter street and move from stores to stores.

Do walk in abeg.

Desperate time calls for desperate measure.

I can assure you,you will forget this rough time as soon as you land a job.You can never compare life here in UK even as a students with the hell happening in Nigeria.

No one had it smooth from the beginning but by God's special grace,we are doing fine now .

Like I said, enter street and do walk in.

I got my first Job in SUBWAY through walk-in but I wasn't comfortable with their package reason I left.

Stfu! Most of your criminal leaders run to these countries more than the average struggling and helpless citizens.

stop judging. Are you a Saint?
If yes how many times have you returned a lost Android or iphone that you stumbled upon?
how many times do you return change when they send you message while a kid?
how many times did you pocket what is not yours that you did not work for? You see, Nigeria is a great land, but your lack of contentment, honesty, trust. concern for one another is the only problem.
If I release 1m here on Nland for youths to share you will see all the above ugly factors bedeviling you people in Nigeria. grin
Naija youths scam people and laugh it off as smartness
they dont pay back loans willingly
Many youths just see fraud as business. wHY Both inside and outside naija. Then you come to foreign immigration and expect them to cuddle you?Rubbish youths of today.
ALL THESE NEEDS TO CHANGE,IS THE ANSWER YOU SEEK sad

my dream was that immediately I came over, i and my dependant will search for jobs.. work and pay bill. but that is not feasible as I am seeing it.

i started this process with 15 million naira then when naira nose dive i had to borrowed extra 15 million to top it with interest of almost 2 million naira. landed in uk, started seeing the reality on ground

i have been in UK since 1 month plus. but getting a job as a migrant or new commer without UK experience is not easy.
in fact i have sent over 200 job application for cleaner, care assistant etc but all came with a sorry we have moved on to the next stage or you don't have uk experience.

school fees has to be paid. everyone here in tight corner... school has sent mail threatening to report to the immigration if school fees is not paid in the next few weeks to most Nigerians here.

no job, house rent is expensive.. going for 450 to 600 pounds per month.

travelling through student route is not really easy because you have to balance between work and school.. 'even at that where is the job as a new migrant.

Please if you are considering coming to UK for now.. please put on hold. the crowd from Indians, Pakistani, Malaysia, china etc is overwhelming.

it's not worth selling your home to be here.

i sleep in indeed and all this job site.. still yet nothing, bills mounting up.

all my colleague i came with are still with no jobs in other cities

after spending 13 million coming here with extra 3k dollars now almost exhausted chai

if u know you don't have full school fees, house rent for 12 months, upkeep.... running to 35m to 40m please stay back... stay back or apply through skill route.

edited with more info.
My Uncle gave me an advice
If you're trying to relocate to an advanced country, try to prepare to fit into their system while you're in Nigeria

Since you're in UK already and can't get a job, see if you can create a job for yourself from scratch. It's the bitter truth.
Try content creation eg YouTube because you have an advantage.

You mean the same Poultry owners lamenting and tons of businesses shutting down.

An Agbado miscreant can depend on Tinubu if he's getting some crumbs from him. Aside that, you're on your own

Very funny thread. This guy has turned himself into some sort of John the Baptist, sounding a warning for others. If you don't prepare, you suffer greatly, that principle applies everywhere in life.

People are still balling in Nigeria, UK, Somalia, Iraq. Find your purpose and you will make it anywhere. I don't know how a goat in Nigeria expects to become a lion in UK. There are UK citizens born as goats and still remain goats in UK with all the opportunities around them. People should always learn to find their purpose.

My friend, you should be the one to stop talking nonsense and acting holier than though. If Nigeria was operating at the level it was pre-2015, I don't think Op and his types will be so desperate to leave Nigeria.

People just want to survive, please let the poor breath.

Another silly comment, so pre-2015 Nigerians don't travel with student visa with little or no money with them? You probably were born yesterday.

you can't build a 'proper' 5m naira house in 2023. Infact that stopped being possible since like 2017.....but you can buy a house even now for 5m with some searching.

Buying has been easier and cheaper than building for a loooong time now

Why is that so? I'm curious.
