ganiruogene: Not sure about this, you can check the TLS website. I have only either paid for premium online or not at all. I haven't explored paying at the office. TLS website shows which payment can be collected at the office and which is strictly online. |

Hello everyone, For a visit visa, is saving on apps like piggyvest or optimus acceptable for POF? or is it better for the money to be transferred to a regular bank account and an explanation proffered for the lump sum in the cover letter? Your responses will be highly appreciated. |

Hi all. Please I did a Flexi appointment for my standard 6 months visa application last Thursday and it was received by DMC the next day. I'm going for a one week work business meeting fully sponsored by my employer which is going to commence on the 6th, next week Monday. Now my questions are these. 1. Do they consider the time required for your travel when sorting and attending to standard applications or it's just first come first serve? 2. If there's no response on my application by close of work on Friday, will it be later rejected on the premise that the date of the meeting has passed even when everything else is okay? Your response will be greatly appreciated. |

Hello gurus in the house, please do I or the employer have to pay IHS fees when applying for a healthcare visa? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Deeofdeebeauty: 6:56pm On Nov 01, 2023 |
ganiruogene: There’s option to pay for premium at tls ikeja if you want to. Just go with your ATM card |

Xtension18: If you’re applying for healthcare visa, there’s ihs waiver. Other shortage occupation pays ihs except for healthcare |

Hello Everyone, My Husband is trying to apply for a visit visa for my family and i and it's really important we go on this trip. My Husband is the sponsor of this trip.. He is a business owner..He just started paying himself salaries about 4 months ago (His account balance is a little over 3m) 1.can he state that his company would fund the trip?..Will this fly? 2. Can he do a transfer of the funds we would need from his company account and explain in the cover letter? 3. How much can he state that we would spend on this trip? (Accommodation inclusive)for a family of 4 for 3 weeks? 4. How long does a standard visa application take currently? @giselle237, @cashmadam, all the gurus in the house..please I need your inputs.. thank you. |

Hi all, please I will like to confirm if a visitor can state that she has a petty trade in Nigeria which is not registered with CAC as a proof of home ties. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 7:37am On Nov 02, 2023 |
Tymally:Yes. Works for some individuals Then they should be able to prove via pictures and other evidence that it is not a made up story and is actively trading etc… 1 Like |

Teemom: 1. The company should not be funding the trip for the whole family. Business funds are for the business and not for 4 family members to use at their beck and call. 2. Better for the board secretary or board member or official to write the letter and say this is his allotment for holiday expenses as is due him per company policy bla bla . Again business funds should not be used to finance the personal allowances of you and your family is the way they see it. 3. Not same amounts as kids have less expenses eg lower flight tickets and would stay with their parents so wont have a different accommodation allowance. 4. At least 15 working days At the beginning you say it is really important you go for this trip? You should be able to quantify the importance of this trip , the intentions behind the trip, why, what you would be doing and why you are not going to the other countries of the world as UK is not the only travel destination. 2 Likes 1 Share |

ENGRPETER101:what is he carrying? If it is genuine he will not be flagged. If packing the 2 big bags and it gets flagged and they check the CONTENTS and you are not able to cross the border, it will be used to cement the facts that you were japa-ring on a visit visa. It is what is inside that matters.. not the weight. Someone I know carried all her certificates and cvs and all, when she reached they felt like she came to search for job inorder to stay back if not why would your visa form say you are coming for 2 wks trip and you have a very big portfolio of your work and qualifications history. If you cant defend it, home(deportation) pls 3 Likes |

Tymally:Someone I know did this, but stated in the cover letter the kind of petty trading, where and how and supported with a busy account statement showing small small money entering via the trade and the visa was granted |

Good morning nairalanders, please i'm in a little fix and need honest opinions. I have been reading about care giver job and people say its a nasty job and degrading. I also have an opportunity to enter UK via IT work but we will be trained for some months in the UK on tech skills before job placements. I have aready done courses on care giving and gotten certificates and have also commensed processing for HCPC registration (i am originally into Healthcare here in Naija but must get UK license before getting a job in my original career and chances of me getting a job in my original career is higher if i am already in UK). Bottom line is that... The goal now is to enter the UK legally. Should i take the IT opportunity or the care giver route? Note: both have 5 years visa validity. Please don't discourage me. I have been through alot already. 1 Like |
