Who says there are no alternatives? We have stopped watching dstv because of YouTube, Netflix and prime. Their total cost not even up to dstv subscription.

Who are the DSTV competitors in the industry? I was actually referring to their monopoly of the industry.

&yes, many Nigerians have switched to those options you mentioned which are good enough.

Nobody says anybody is an illiterate. Gospel truth be say if you want to give back quality content to your kids u must go off those network.
GanagiBitrus:

It's alright if you prefer Internet Content to Cable TV. Those who have opted for Cable TV also have their reasons. Calling them illiterates is wrong.

Yes, I agree with your point on quality/restricted content for kids.

you should have noticed his moniker, going by the footballer name when he was trending with putting his properties in his mothers name, so in other words this dude follows whatever goes.

Because the data is also free? And the price for data did not change. Tackle a problem than create one

The forever channels on tiger decoder can stream all sport stations without buffing, it’s even hd and with less than 5gb monthly, you can watch premier league football, Spanish, Italian and including German bundesliga. It’s 18k every 4 months when the forever stations expires.
It works anywhere in Nigeria.
That’s a better service compared to dstv.

We can’t totally blame dstv cause the government forced them to milk money from Nigerians

We need a strong competitor that will give us more value for our money.

You may consider Startimes as a viable alternative, but there are still people who don't consider it so. Everybody with his choice which should be respected.
then stop complaining, are dstv father Christmas, are the not paying for services, are they not paying for diesel, are they not paying for contents, are they not paying salaries, when their equipments spoil, they buy it at discounted price. Ogah blem your useless and stupid leaders that buy jeep when it citizens are choking as a result of their useless policies.

Time for DSTV to leave Nigeria has come.. NCC should rise up to this broad daylight robbery and rip off from a foreign company.

How many Nigerian comapnies can go to South Africa to rip off South Africans the way Multichoice is doing in Nigeria?.. the brown envelope they are giving those in positions to stop their excesses will soon backfire.
They should go away with thier useless BBNaija, let people go and watch NTA or nothing.. Nonsense.
It's not their fault naw abi if government dey squeeze their neck wetin dem go do abi should dey run at loss because of government policies or don't you know the number of companies that have folded up or relocated to Ghana and some other countries

They are....

Illiteracy is when you know little or nothing about a particular subject

All the information you need as a man to keep you healthy and entertained is on YouTube , Spotify or a Google search away.

As for matches, you can Livestream it or go to a nearby bar parlour and chill with the guys.

Na man wey get excess time fit stay dey watch plenty football sef.

Ehn but that's for you as an individual but are your family not gonna watch TV

The increments is becoming a yearly thing.

This Multi-Choice understands that they're enjoying a complete monopoly in the country that's why they can wake up at anytime of the day and hike the prices without consultation.

This company has repeatedly refused to implement pay-as-you-watch billing while the so-called govt keeps mute watching them scam her citizens daily.
This is subject to operational environment naw or are they increasing tariffs in other countries too

Good morning, most people here who use DStv/GOtv are not illiterates ok, internet network in FCT Abj and most parts of Nigeria is not stable.

I tried watching EPL with MTN network and i felt bad because it was not stable (I'm in CBD Abj). In Europe, internet is good and stable but not the same with here ok.

When you don't have serious competitors, you will do as you like. You can't rule that out. Remember how MTN (another SA company) refused to implement per second billing until Glo arrived with per second billing! What did MTN do as soon as Glo started? grin grin grin

For 2 years now I have stopped using dstv. Anyone that uses a firestick for a day would realize they've been in bandage all this time with dstv
Is it everybody that is internet saavy

The distraction is so much. Imagine a child crying for cartoon instead of facing her assignment. I hid the cartoon inside the files then ensure all they have access to are package for their grades. Pressure is too much.

Lmao..The downfall of Dstv.
How many people still sit down to watch Dstv anyways, apart from those who watch football?
People will rather subscribe to Netflix, Hulu or Amazon and watch varieties of tv shows and movies on their Tvs. Or they simply use their phone to watch whatever and browse social media. Only thing saving Dstv now is sports and that Bbnaija that happens every year. 😂

You are right.

If they had voted the right candidate, DSTV Premium that was increased to N29,500 from N24,500 for don become N500 or maybe N200 monthly.

We go don build like 40 refineries in 5 months and fuel for don cheap like water. Maybe N20 per liter.

Let them enjoy what they voted for. Elections have consequences.

Lol, you people will defend this current government till you have serious headache sha. 😂
I know it disturbs your mind seeing people complain about the economy and situation the country is. That's why you have the urge to respond even though your preferred candidate is probably the one who won.

I was paying 10k a month for my router that provides internet for the entire house.

With my fire stick I get to watch all the latest movies, TV shows and other content that dstv can only dream about.

That's the same router my wife uses to browse on her phone too. As long as one isn't jobless, you aren't expected to watch TV the whole day.

Imagine paying 12k to watch Rambo. Nigerians are getting ripped off badly simply because we want to watch football lol.

Tell me more about it where can I get it from doesn’t it work in all states?

And get an iptv called itectv

All dstv channels are inside under south Africa.[/quot

How to go about that whre can I get them and how can I install it ??
