If the CBN can sustain it's ability to meet up with the demand for fx by commercial banks, then the dollar is bound to drop a bit more .

The 1-$Dollar should dropped to N650 because those who are Speculative, especially the 'Big Men' in Nigeria are taking an undue advantages of a New Govt that is just settling down, not that these men have anything tangible to add to the Nigeria's fortune.
For instance - how many of them are into Productive Sector and if they are- they will be involved in Exports and Dollars repartration will be easy!
•Do you know a Stick of Agbado( Maize) is 1€(Euro) in France? Recently - a month ago and is Trending -you see a Nigerian frying Fresh Maize in the high browl -Paris!
•Can our big men be serious and Cultivate Large Farming to Employ thousands of Nigerian Workers,so that they can make cool money from abroad, instead of being speculative,as if they are playing a lottery?
•Also, govt should break the back of all those Mallams across our Major Streets and Cities- who are not Productive but are just speculators-and are the Footsoldiers of the o called Bigmen!

Go and sell your dollar, the peak time for dollar to go up was August, September and October, because we had very high demand during these period since most traders source for more dollars within these period to place order for good they want to sell during this December period.
So from November, dollar demand tends to reduce a little bit, also by December many people abroad will come home with some dollars as well.

So I don't think we will have a very sharp further increase again, rather we should have a stagathering drop.
I have screenshot your comment and am praying that by the end of this month I can say 3gbosa for you because am one of those who really need it to go down and most expectantly to reflect in the cost of things in the market at least food

Dollar never drops in December. The fact that many people come home at that time is a chance for the Nigerian politicians to mop up the dollar.

Y’all just don’t understand the genius of Emile o corn. You see those billions of dollars pumped into the banks ? That’s a 2 to 3 months effect and within that time space they are going to fire up the Dangote refinery in December ( they already allocated close to a million barrel of oil in december to fire it up ) which would be a huge source of forex being the biggest refinery in the world every country would come refine in naija and would pay in dollars and then coupled with detty December when all japarians bring in forex, am afraid by this December there will be a huge crash to like 400 or 500 and it will never rise up again ever. It will just slowly start to decline till it gets to like 100 over an 8 year period

I guess all am saying is if you didn’t cash out when it hit 1300 you lost forever.

Everyone wishes the naira does well, but for the tribalist criminal to hedge the future on defending the naira, instead of doing non criminal measures that will really stabilize the naira.

The tribalist divisive hardened criminal is really a born criminal.

Let's see what magic he will pull from the 3rd week of January. Except oil prices shoot up drastically. Dangote and even 10 dangotes cannot save a purposely broken system. His oil refinery will not help up to 9% of the issue. Some economists are non technical, and most Nigerian ones, especially those around the aso rock tribalist, are not technical at all.

The foreigners helping you drive this money down on an unstable foundation, an unstable foundation that you caused due to criminality, will make you more indebted when that unstable propaganda foundation falters. They don't want to hear story without collateral.

The tribalist criminal chased Nigerians out school, without giving them any skill training options, then he irresponsibly stopped the oil subsidy - without any cushion. No serious wisdom on electricity realization except to borrow as much as possible and punt (push the problem into the future) the problem. He also plays divisive politics with the oil resources. He uses all the SE and SS oil as collateral, while the few sw oil is used for potential electrification of the sw and some of his northern masters region - not the north central. He is not transparent on the details of the deal he is doing. It will be good that igbos remind the chinese, Turkish, even Saudi, and other not ideological foreign resources investors, that they should be signing month to month contract, because the SE will have to war dem if the tribalist criminal encourages division that leads to genocide, like he is teetering with. The SE will destroy their contract and fight them if need be, the SE will only redo friendly countries contract, if Nigerian hatred gets to a no return level. The Turkish and the chinese cannot just be forming naive, but they see the dynamics, and are helping the criminal lock up contracts, to the point that he gave Turkey concessions to fly drones in the SE and SS in order to protect their assets. If things get out of hand in Nigeria, opportunistic countries like turkey and china will see reason to fight against the SE and will be brutal in protecting their assets. Does Libya come to mind anyone? Then what about the next big wave mineral resources found in all parts of the SE - pure hydrogen (could be the best electricity producer), lithium all the -riums, etc.

The divisive hardened criminal always thinks evil and partial. He is selling all the resources from the SE and SS long term, but doing very short term deals with the few resources in the sw, matter of near fact, he is sw deals with 60 to 70% nigerian face ownership, but doing the SE and SS deals with 90% foreign ownership, the middle belt deals are 70 to 80% foreign ownershio and long term, the ne and nw iare 40% foreign ownership and short to mid decade deals. So, why is he collatering and mortgaging the SE for multi decade deals. When the major projects he plans are nw, ne, and sw mostly.

The SE should push to revise those useless deals especially with non friendly allies. The tribalist islamics criminal has not done any major 5 year deal with Israel like the dullard before him. The SE can do good revised deals that will be mutual win for Israel, America, uk, france, Germany, poland, etc and maybe some two or three year deals with china, Russia, and monthly deals with turkey - as long as it is not mosque building deal.

The divisive tribalist criminal should stop mortgaging the SE future, stop encouraging massacre in the SE, southern Cameroon, and igbo cousins in the so called SS. The divisive tribalist criminal, need to equalize to make a credible Nigerian forces, he need to spend the resources money on commercially using the ports in non sw states, and he should stop discouraging israel, Germany, usa, etc from having embassies in the region. The natural criminal should stop being a thief and manage our regions money or stop tampering with it.

He steals the money for yatch and personal account bloating, then he uses 80% of the resources money to build everywhere else but the SE and the sw, then he floods the region with the hisba/boko haram/ISIS forces, so that they can maim and create havoc and instability in the region, while he sells the region to not too trusted foreign countries.

I am a concerned person, no cun dey label me this or that. I love peace.

I feel bad that you are advising him to sell. If he has dollars for business sake and he keeps it, no issue, but, if he keeps dollars to mop up the dollars in circulation, may the dollar become 500naira to a dollar whilst he keeps. Saboteur will not know peace.

I have naira I can use to buy dollars, I didn't because of the effect of creating scarcity for genuine business people.

Just shush it already pls. Do you think this is the first time the Naira I'd gaining strong stride against the dollar? The problem is this gain ain't sustainable as a matter of fact it's superficial and will likely crash and worsen. So it's too early to hail the government, you are too quick to congratulating the government when it's barely even a week since this development surfaced. Let's observe till January next year before we can be sure this is near sustainable.
Did you wait to criticize government when the price was going up? Some of you are just bitter that's all

When the Naira was falling, the haters and evil wishers of Nigeria kept rejoicing and condemning the country and calling the leaders very bad and unprintable names. Now that the naira is appreciating against the dollar. Nobody will praise the leaders of the economy again.

Some of this hatersof Nigeria just want only bad things to befall this country.

check it very well my brother, is your brilliance not being downplayed here. So the prices of goods moved from 280k to 390k within some months, after some while it goes down to 350k does that call for a wildfire celebration. So if the dollar rate skyrocket we should cheer the people at power so that they can keep on doing nothing. If you keep quiet you will be snuffed out every oxygen you breathe. If the dollar rate goes down below what he meet then it calls for celebrating and he would be given his flowers surely.
