I would like to know if the governor of the state has the power to shut down federal government property in their state, if yes. Let me quickly call my state governor to shut down the refinery in port Harcourt so we must also collect double 13% derivative for all federal government property that is servicing the nation.. idiot and foolishness at its peak.
Aboki just think they are wise , the words of there mouth sometimes show how ignorant and uneducated they are.
Is it the state governor that built the kanji dam that will be shut down?,. are they not receiving monthly tax and other benefits for having the dam in the state. Or is Niger Delta that are working in the dam, very foolish talks from illiterate governor,

For Nigeria to practise true federalism, a lot of states will have to be merged.

Though the Niger state governor is being disingenuous in this case because it is common knowledge that Niger state is part of a special federal government development agency created to develop hydropower producing areas known as HYPADEC.

Also it seems that the past and present Niger state governors are lazy waiting for free oil money when it has large areas of fertile agricultural lands waiting to be harnessed for commercial farming.
How can they utilize the fertile land, when they allow their terrorist kinsmen take over the villages?
When Babangida Aliyu was the governor, despite his loud mouth and frog eyes, he never tolerated banditry in Niger state.

Empty threat. All this because power generation and distribution is in the Exclusive legislative list. If not, what does Rivers state need light from Niger state for, when gas abound?

States can now generate their electricity

Mainstream Energy Solutions has bought kainji and Jebba Hydro Power plants from government and the owners are Niger state indigenes . He should ask the father of his predecessor for money and not Federal Government. Retired Colonel Bello bought the two plants from Jonathan government and he is the operator till today.
North South power plant bought Shiroro Hydro power plant from the same Jonathan government.
The remaining one has been completed and not operational .
Bago should go to his elder brothers to demand 13%.

Then i wonder what the Gogernor of Niger state was about when he insinuated that Niger state was powering Delta like he owns the monopoly of power generation.

Sometimes I wonder if the government of SS states ever think big, cos if they did, the state governments should be asking for power generation licences. You can't have such abundance of energy resources and don't play a key part of it.

The fact that Delta state, Bayelsa state and a host of other states are allocated Billions of Naira monthly as Oil derivative, is utterly wrong and corruptly constituted because the revenue and fruits of a country supposed to be shared equally to each of the 36 states. smiley

They want to die with oil money because it has been refined and it's ready to eat, no need to work or stress on how to turn it to money again, they all see it as free money for all among themselves, if the oil money cease being available for them to feast on, they would develop the available ones in their various states
it won't be funny sha grin
