I understand what you're saying but I still stand by the belief that religion is man made: God didn't invent religion, Jesus didn't invent Christianity. Somehow we created these institutions as conduits to the divine and an instrument of moral order. And like any other institution, religion can loose it's purpose and become corrupt in the hands of whoever is in charge.

And I don't think God automatically gives you wisdom and discipline when he calls you. These things are a process, and He tests you over time. Even the most called can fall into temptation if not watchful.
