I didn't seek her permission to sublet,

I knew that if we had to be two people in the room that i will have to pay higher price,

my friend moved in after i have already paid last month rent, due to the fact that he just arrived UK and my plan was on the next payment i will pay the new rent for both of us,
i discussed this with her last week before this issue started and we agreed that i will pay the increased rent for both of us,
The day i was supposed to make this payment was the day she came to the house and Change our house key (afternoon time) trying to lock me outside.

Less than 48hours after changing the key she came back and remove my room door, at the moment my room is open and no privacy for me.

Your LL already owes you £2100, for not protecting that deposit.......

Go make a report with the police, your LL would have to replace that door (as a starting point)......

Don't make any rent payment (yet).....

This question is not required....... What do you think a seller would tell you ........ An answer like, the car is starting to show me shege.........😁🤣

lol,
Some still tells you the truth.

By the way, in one of your comment, you made mention of peeling onion (is there a way or method to peel an onion without shedding tears )?

I would place that question on the same level as, AC not working (but requiring only gas)........😁🤣

What are the possible experiences one can get from civil service here? Any idea? I know that once one get a civil service experience, it improves ones chance more in other sectors especially with big consulting firms or isn't this the case?

I would love the NHS opportunity though but the way is lower than the civil service job and a bit far away from home which could disrupt many things and plans😩. I'm hoping that with the civil service job after it lapses, I could get a shot at the NHS on a higher band.

I appreciate all your thoughts on this.... Pls 🙌🏾🙏🏾

Schoolhike:

the decision should align with your personal and professional priorities, If financial gain and a broad range of experiences in a short term are more appealing, the SEO Civil Service job might be the better choice, if you prefer job stability and a career in healthcare, the Band 6 NHS position could be more suitable, consider also the work environment, team culture, and opportunities for future progression in each role.

Less job security in Civil service roles(cos it’s fixed term) but offer a broad range of experiences, which might be valuable for your future career moves,

It matters alot (infact, it's the spine of this matter).......

Without a legal contract, you cannot be deemed a tenant......

LL could claim she simply housed an unruly family member......

Without a contract, if the LL is wise..... She would get away with murder.......

Completely and utterly false.

They have an agreement, written or otherwise, and the fellow is a tenant whether or not they had a written contract.

It's the landlady who has the most top loose anyway when it comes out that she didn't do the necessary legal checks, documentation and safekeeping of the deposit (and likely also the tax filings required).

The person should get in touch with Shelter.

Black Bank Manager?

Knew they don't like us but I've never seen this level of overtness.

In 2023?

What of just "Bank Manager"?

And from an established media outlet like The Telegraph?

Different answer versions to a simple question without any reference is totally misleading.

Please let's always attach reference(s) to an assertion. Yes, I know a simple google search or research could have helped the op who originally asked the question and also remove any ambiguity to the responses received.

To answer your questios, i rented the house through flatshare where the landlord posted the room.

I called her through the contact available on flatshare , we discussed price, i then go ahead and made the payment to her account.
No contract was sign...
Details and proof are available on chart though.

Does the LL also live in the house? Ie. It is her main residence even if she's not there all the time?

If so then it's likely that your status is that of a lodger and not a tenant. Important distinction because a homeowner can rent out 1 or more rooms in their house to lodgers, but lodgers typically have very few legal rights compared to a tenant. For example, there is no legal requirement to protect a lodger's deposit, there is no standard notice period to evict a lodger and a lodger does not have the same privacy rights e.g. the landlord is allowed to refuse them having a lock on their door.

Simply check schools websites in Scotland and read how they describe who is classified as an international vs Home student. You must meet two conditions to be classified as home student. Settlement and 3 years residence requirement. There is only one official version.

They could have just simply titled it 'Bank manager sues metropolitan...' Then the image of the fellow will say the rest.

No, she does not live in the house

Already called police , they referred me to citizens advice.
Unfortunately CA doesn't work on weekends

I understand your point.

I’m speaking based on experience and conversation with school admission team.

The individual that said it’s a lie is free to believe anything he/she wants.

If you’re in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and you’ve spent >3 years, speak to the school admission team before paying international fees.

Not all information are available freely on the internet unless you ask the stakeholders involved.

It’s not “unnecessary”.

It’s an adjective.

To describe the ethnicity of the individual.

To give more context and reason why the lawsuit is being filed.

The heading is in order.

In order to think, you need to risk being offensive.

Good day everyone. Please I would like to get clarification on this. I have been in the UK for 5months now as the main applicant on a healthcare visa. I want to apply for my husband and children to join me in the UK. My questions are as follows;
1. Do I need to show proof of fund if maintenance was ticked for me in my COS? Bear in mind that I didn't provide POF when I did my application and I have been in the UK for five months.
2. If they will need POF will it be appropriate to use my husband's bank statement?

Your input will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

What's your stance here? Is the manager White?

Not all mention of people's colour are racially-slurred.

I'd say the use of 'Black' in the headline is redundant, taking out readers' curiousity.

However, inclusive communication has evolved on the guideline to reference people's colour without being racially-entangled or offended. Loads of helpful resources online: https://edition.cnn.com/2020/06/05/health/racial-microaggressions-examples-responses-wellness/index.html.

https://andscape.com/you-got-99-words/does-it-make-a-difference-if-youre-called-black-african-american-melanated-or-any-other-term/

If I say I love Blacks and their culture. Will someone be offended?
