Most of the shít I read here fúcks me up mentally — I had light skin as a kid (not anymore, Arewa sun has tanned my skin) and my little brother was dark skinned. He's got a very beautiful skin color.

Back in high school, I knew this girl called Chioma — green eyes and unsurprisingly, her both parents were very light skinned and had "their color got into their eyes".

As a kid, my dad showed me his brother — my grandmother gave birth to him at home (that's what i was later told). That man should be over 70 years old and he was very light skinned, all his children are also light skinned.

I remember my cousins (it's been long I've seen them), a particular one also had light colored eyes or whatever.

People of African decent do have coloured eyes although it can't really be explained but we both know Igbo people and bleach na 5 and 6. I believe certain tribes including the igbos have natural light skin too, like the Fulani that are truly naturally fair complexioned and some of my people of the esan/Ishan tribe of uromi (Edo state) and I don't think it has anything to do with white/ Caucasian even though one of our founding fathers of the klan was an illegitimate first true son of Oba Euware the Great and a Portuguese woman but the Oba could not marry her or present the child as heir to the throne. The boy was hidden from the public eye because of his obvious white looks and was eventually sent away with armed guards to find a place of his own and rule. It's because Igbos are naturally beautiful. They are different race. The Esan people of Edo state also have light skin like Igbos. Nigeria is made up of different race. Some northern tribes have almost curly hair, some are light skin too, and some are very dark.
If not for the Whites joining everyone in one country, one could have be viewing the east as another people of different race.
Same way we view people from Ethiopia, Somali, etc as different race.

Imo state is central igbo land...saying that they are close to white people makes no sense. One thing I realize about black people regardless of country or tribe is the tendency to just make up story. Genetic testing has already been done and igbos do not have European Genetic markers. In addition, many historical accounts written by the British (people many of you trust) says that Igbo always had a large number of lighter skinned people compared to other tribes. One of the posters here posted proof from 1836 of that account. There are many other authors that had said the same but instead...Fake oral tradition of race mixing is the standard among the unlearned.
