I have been saying this. Avoid single mother families. Dont marry their children, don’t let your children marry their children, monitor how your children interact with and are influenced by them because they don’t have the same boundaries In their homes as you set in yours.

It sounds good in theory but if you did not experience a stable home with two parents, you have no reference point to build one yourself. Whatever we learn at home in our formative years is what we carry into the world. It is extremely hard to change dysfunction that has been built into one’s DNA.

We all have habits that we struggle with whose origins can be traced to our youth and upbringing. So for anyone to think you can just overcome family dysfunction is nothing but pure fantasy. A man is brought up in a home by a single mother he has no father reference figure. He starts a family and feels it is everything he has to comment on and does not have the knowledge that for peace you have to learn to see and not see because he has not seen his father have to do these things. A woman is brought up by a single mother, as the breadwinner the mother is naturally masculine and aggressive because she has to perform the masculine roles of a missing father, the daughter has never experienced a scenario where the mother is submissive to anyone or has trust in a man, she has never seen the dynamics of a man and a woman in a stable and peaceful home. How is she supposed to unlearn what she has been nurtured in her formative years and trust and depend on and be a partner to a husband? Children from broken homes are more likely to have broken homes themselves because painful as the experience may have been and determined as they may be to avoid it themselves…. You can’t give what you don’t have! especially these days that marriages are fragile. It is possible but the vast majority will repeat the cycle.

A child should be raised with both parents, a child should be raised knowing he/ she was wanted. A child and society should not be me made to pay the price of poor irresponsible choices and indiscipline of parents whether father or mother. A child who has not witnessed the proper dynamics of a heathy 2 parent family is by likely to end up damaged and dysfunctional. children of violent homes, single parent homes or parent abandonment by one parent hide a lot of pain, they often vow to correct it but they are often unable to because they don’t know otherwise themselves having not witnessed what it takes to have a stable family. You can’t give what you don’t have.

Gay bisexuality, criminality, gangs etc are symptoms of this dysfunction it’s and it is prevalent amongst black Americans because the family unit is broken down. It The black American family is probably the most dysfunctional family unit in the world. It is very rare to find a black American family with father and mother intact, even rarer to find 2 or 3 generations that were raised in a 2 parent environment, no separation, no divorce. Most of them are products of single parenting, unknown fathers, adoption, separation, women with multiple baby daddy,s men with multiple baby mamas etc etc.

Why can't the fathers step in and be the better parent?

You may be right regarding some in your list, e.g a widow takes care of children because she likely would dedicate her life to the kids. But when it comes to cases like divorce(which you did not mention), the children would most likely grow up as irresponsible because the woman takes less care of them and tends to turn them against their fathers. Her energy in her youth is focused on bitterness towards their father.
And mind you, on your last line, a man cannot abandon his own children even after separation/divorce. It is the woman that shields the children from them in most cases, this they later regret in life. Eventually the children grow up and locate their fathers.

There are good single mothers. My mother was a single mother, and she brought up three children who have been very industrious and productive in society, but the truth is that it's tough for a woman to bring up young boys on her own; this is a major problem. We have analysed why single mother are typical in black societies.
