Good evening, i encourage you to ask questions before coming online with exaggerated figures. I have family members and friends at UK, rent for two bedroom flat at Cardiff was paid at 800 pounds last month (some people pay even lesser, these are houses that are well furnished).

At Sunderland, a friend pays 900 Pounds per month for a well furnished apartment. Someone i know made 6M+ a month and remits 1.5M every month for his building project here. UK is better if your paper is genuine and you are working. Students work only 20 hours every week but if you are not a student, you can work as your strength can carry you, thank you.

What does the person do?

As far as am concerned it's far better than Nigeria. Here we work like elephant and eat like an ant, we're suffering and smiling. Our pay is nothing compared to those working in the UK/US.

You should also compare a month's house rent in the UK and US with Nigeria.

In a decent society, government must ensure that citizens can afford basics of life such as food, housing, transportation etc. UK government have fulfilled their obligation, while Nigeria government failed.

we pay 8% tax per month in Nigeria for workers ...I saw a simple calculation on line for someone that earns 500pounds weekly and has to pay 51pounds tax then 37pounds health insurance and his take home was approx 410 pounds..and I saw the 12k personal allowance..is it 12k per year?

I bought local chicken which is my favourite for N3000 weekly and the chicken in the list is just chicken thigh so I substitute that for a full chicken that I know the price.

Anyways from the official receipt for those items the chicken thigh is worth £2.65 which is about N2,,650 at offical rate or about B3,800 at black market rate.

local chicken for 3k, bros abeg you Don too old for that kind thing na, where you want see such for 3k? maybe na vulture that your customer dey sell give you all this time, when a kilo of chicken is 2800 or so now.
