After submitting the form you receive the declaration (by email) and you can apply for the Job Search Visa, "online" and/or from the nearest Portuguese consulate , upon prior appointment.

Were you granted the visa? Whats the outcome
c00la:

Get ready to spend money here before the Job-Seeker Visa application is submitted:
- 3 months Portugal minimum wage in a Bank account per person (€760.00 per month x 3)
- Medical Travel Insurance (MTI) for 1 year @ around 32K (I used AIICO)
- Police Character Report @25K official from Possap website (I am yet to do this)
- Authentication of Educational Certificates and other documents @ N600 at MoE and N300 at MFA per document. Add the cost of travelling and staying in Abuja for 2 few days. I spent around 25K in total for all the documents.
- Airline Booking (Only Qatar and Ethiopian Airlines allowed to book-on-hold that you can print). If you don't know how to do it or have access to a printer, you have to pay someone to do it for you.
- If you don't have access to a scanner, (colour) printer and/or don't have skills to convert digital documents to png/jpg/pdf, then merge them, then reduce the sizes to fit the requirements, etc. you have to pay someone to do it. Then upload to the Portugal Foreign Affairs website and fill the form. In short, if you are Technology-challenged, be prepared to spend money.
- Pay for Accommodation for at least 20 days via AirBnB or any such service. (This is what I know happens in Brazil. I hope the Portugal Embassy in Nigeria will also accept AirBnB). We saw some AirBnB homes for 1,600 euros for a month in Lisbon. The Booking is part of what is submitted in the Visa application.

After Job-Seeker Visa approval:
- Air ticket to PT
- Return Ticket to Nigeria (the fully refundable one that is more expensive)
- Accommodation in PT after your AirBnB expires

After going through all the above, my family decided to just get a Migration Consultant in PT to do all the work for us. It is expensive. All our documents/letters/statements are scanned and in PDF form. They will go through our papers and advise us. They will submit on our behalf and we will wait for our visit to the Embassy. We are also getting their House hunting Service so that we can rent a house for a minimum of 6 months to 1 year. If the Embassy denies us, their Lawyer will fight for us.

Since I know the next question is "How much?" The Migration Service alone is 800 Euros per person. Children are half that price.
It is expensive.

Next question: "Name of Migration Consultant"... If you read one of my previous posts, I shared a link to Migration Tuesdays by Expats Portugal on Youtube. I have been watching the weekly Show for over 1 year now. The Migration Consultant Gilda Pereira's company Ei! is the one we are using. https://eimigrante.pt/en/

On Page 1, there is a phone number and email address of the Embassy.

Authentication is done for only Degrees and Certificates awarded by Nigerian educational Institutions.
Please I have some questions.
1. I have a class G articulated truck license. Does it require authentication and where can it be done, If necessary?

2. I noticed that the online visa application link doesn't work. So, how do I submit the visa application? I live in Abuja.

3. In terms of work experience, I own a truck. What category does it fall within the visa application rules?

My student visa for a Master programme just got approved in November (last month) but my wife who applied along with me as a dependant is yet to receive any call from the embassy till date and I am in panic mode because we intend to leave Nigeria latest by Jan ending and we have started selling our household items.
I can't leave her alone in Nigeria because her parents are no more alive and it will definitely be dangerous to live apart because our marriage is just about 3years old.
I need someone to advise me and wish to know how student with similar experience were able to secure approval for their spouse and what is the longest period it took from experience.

I am repeating what i said earlier, you were granted a visit visa, and on your arrival in Portugal because your spouse is there legally, you can easily convert.
I am now asking a General Question, has anyone gone through this route and it went successfully?
Because a visit visa is a visit visa. The Family reunion process is another entire process in itself.
So, I need that youtube channel you are referring. Post it here to prove your point.
Thank you.

You can’t convert a tourist visa to a work visa within the Schengen area.
You need to leave the Schengen Area with your tourist visa to your home country then apply for the work visa, however, some work with the tourist visa (which is illegal).

A lot of people travel to EU states with tourist visas and never return back home, they either file for asylum which automatically gives them the privilege to work for certain hours per week until their asylum get approved or rejected and some just stay over illegally and never return, which I don’t recommend.

So don’t let anyone coerce you into thinking you can convert your tourist visa to work visa within the Schengen area.

I read that story and i felt it is important i put it here. For everyone to read

Please
see:

The journey began when my husband began sourcing for foreign school(scholarship). Lo and behold he got admission but no scholarship, so he turned them down. One of his friends who have been talking to him about Portugal advised him to apply to portugal but he practically refused because of the language barrier and again he wanted a country where he felt he could make it easily. Finally, hubby applied after much convincing that he would get funding when he gets the admission. At last he got admission but no funding, although he applied for one. One fateful day, hubby got a mail that an interview have been scheduled in the next 2days. Immediately, he got himself prepared and most especially got a very good Internet to avoid stories that touch. After some days the result were published and hubby came out 2nd on the list and the department needed just one person, so hubby missed that. We were so bittered after all the preparation and all of that. But his friend kept encouraging him to continue with the visa application that when he gets to Portugal he would definitely get funding. That was how the process began, the financial statements was a big issue. Where are we going to find one? Who do we know? All these questions flew to us, but one thing was certain this time around. Hubby had faith that could move mountain, he had made up his mind to get to Portugal. At last, he got one of his Oga, at the office to give him his statement of account letter and also a letter to back it up that he would sponsor his education (know that it is not a must to pay school fees before leaving Nigeria). So finally, he applied for his visa after all the normal documentations. Hmm.... the worst happened, after we had sold our landed properties so as to boost his own account statement. HE WAS DENIED!!!
Before he got the news of the denial, he was fortunate or should I say privileged to get the number of the "then" consular, who he asked to check the status of the visa. So after the consular confirmed it and saw that he was denied, hubby asked him for his best advice, so he told him to appeal but before he could submit he was invited for another interview and this time, he got it. Finally, he got the visa and moved to Portugal. When he got to Portugal, he got a far date for his appointment in order to process his resident permit, fortunately for him, he was able to bring the date forward. Fast forward, after 5months of getting to Portugal, he invited us using Schengen visa. That was how we all (myself and the kids) moved to Portugal and finally started a masters progam. The very first day I got to Portugal, I fell in love with the country and until now. My love for the country, they are nice, friendly and accommodating people. God bless Portugal

Please advise . Was it appropriate or allowed to invite your spouse with a regular schengen visa for a short visit i believe, and they end up staying back?
These are the things we should be breaking down here.

1. Family Reunion Visa covers for this category of persons.
2. If so be it, and it is allowed to do things like this in Portugal or the schengen region, I think only the poster can clarify, so i will copy her and wait for her response.

You won't get the exact response you are expecting because we are online, but what I can tell you is that Portugal is not that strict with immigration compared to other schegen countries. The most important is finding your feet in Portugal, every other things can be sorted but you won't find an express answer to such because it's illegal from immigration perspective. Hope you understand where I'm heading to, I can't say too much online

I am still waiting for someone to kindly address my concerns above... but I have read s lot of points or post that do not respond to. My questions.

My student visa is approved but it is taking forever to call my wife that applied as a dependant along with me....
We really intends to travel same time as she does not have anyone to live with if I travel first.
Those that av crossed similar huddles should share their experiences and I wish to know how long it takes to approve s spouse or dependant visa
