Let us compare and contrast how much you can make on interstate and Bolt with sienna bus.

Inter state.

We will use Lagos to benin as an example, the average fare is #15,000 per passenger as at 2months ago, I have no idea how much they are charging this December.

15000 x 14 passengers = #210,000 for Lagos to Benin. To and fro will be #420,000 a day.

Minus all expenses that will be incurred after sales, money will remain like 250-300k for a day profit.

If you drive 5 days a week, that we be like 1 to 1.5 million naira profit after expenses.

In a month you have made 4 to 6 million naira.

You have already recovered money for your sienna in one month.

Interstate comes with alot of challenges.

Bolt

An average trip on bolt this Christmas season is #2500 - #5000 naira. Let's assume you were able to do 10 trips a day. That will give you between 25k to 50k per day.

Bolt takes 25% of your income. The money will remain 18k to 37k.

You minus fuel money 15k half tank. Your money will remain 3k to 22k

In a week (7days) you will make between 21k to 154k depending how many hours and days you can work

In a month the total money will be 80k to 600k this Christmas season.

Conclusion: btw interstate that will fetch you 4m to 6m a month and Bolt that will fetch you 80k to 600k with 14 seater Sienna, which one will you go for

So. You will go to Benin and come back same day?
You think transportation business is theory.
Transportation business only gives you 30-40 % profit from fuel consumed. Excluding other factors like wear and tear, repaires, tires, oil change, and other unforseen incidents. There's no Siana driver making 6m profit in a month. If not, some drivers should have like 1000 Siana today. Go and learn practical not theory,

Daily Trust had reported in September that despite the numerous assurances by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that the petrol subsidy regime was gone, the government paid N169.4 billion as subsidy in August to keep the pump price at N620 per litre.

The World Bank’s lead economist for Nigeria, Alex Sienaert, confirmed the continuous payment of petrol subsidy by the government in Abuja yesterday during his presentation of the Nigeria Development Update (NDU), December 2023 Edition.

We complain in Nigeria about long pickup while I have requested several times where drivers will come from around my destination, yet they will be with all smiles when they arrive. Although, I always tip them whenever they come from far places.

This screenshot was taken late but see how far he is to me. I'm going on a 15 mins ride but pickup is about 13 mins.

There's no where in the world that a driver will do a 20 minute pickup if it's not going to profit him. Only a fool will do that with all smiles. Drivers over there make a lot more than here with far better condition of service. The sad part is that fuel price in Nigeria is about half of what it's being sold in Ontario but fares are worlds apart from each other.

Where in Lagos will you see map that crystal clear? You may still need to pass lots of hurdle even before reaching a street next to you. So you can't blame drivers who frown at long pickups.

You should have known better as a veteran. Una wey dey live abroad have a way of being cocky and cheeky. You all just assume you have landed in heaven the moment you get there.

I am sure that's the reason why the price has been retained under 700 naira per litre. If not so,fuel price would have been 750 and above. Tinubu shouldn't have removed it at all.

We have a lot to do as individuals. My comments here are just like everyone else's comments. You post about what you experience daily while I also posted about what I experienced severally. So if my comments trigger you, sorry there's nothing I can do about it.

And those that think drivers make money abroad unlike Nigeria, join a Facebook group of drivers in those countries and see how they complain about the fares.

If my post meant the bolded part in your comment to you, go and hug a live transformer.

Using this trip as an example, the actual fare is different from the taxes charged.
And uber will still take more than about 25% or more as I've heard.

Drivers still make money in Nigeria but it was Bolt that brought down the standard to what's being experienced now.

One a more serious note, If I drive for 14hrs like you drove and 23 trips on Rida and INDRIVE. I will definitely beat your earnings hands down, grin but the cost of spare parts dey fear me to do that.

You are full of wisdom,
23 trips 14hrs in one day inside Tinubu Lagos?
My Last December in Lagos, I followed the motivation here target #1M, last last I broke down for 5days wether na normal flu or covid or malaria I no know.

Spare part cost high
Fuel high and might increase in January
Don’t break down cause medicine don skyrocket
Heard augmentin is now 50k naira. How

Make una softly dey drive with wisdom and take time to rest slow and steady win the race .

This was a post made last here, I didn't talk like someone who has made it then . But the moment I made it known about location change, it's something else.

Pls I need quick answer to this, I was owning bolt 11k before my document expired close to 2 years ago , and I've not been stable in lagos due to accommodation issues. Now I plan to come back to lagos next week for inspection, I still have fews weeks before my present car documents expire. Will bolt accept the car, will they ask me to pay for the debt first or they would remove the debts while I work on their platform..Thanks in anticipation
