for the past days, someone has been entering the market and dashing us Jaiz bank at 1.50. even when it's trading at 1.60, you queue at 1.50 and the saviour comes and goes. maybe when he is tired, Jaiz will start looking up.
I hope i took a good decision to mop all i have at 1.50 sha?
Sometimes when a news is in the pipeline, that's how we see those kind of earlier activities....
JAIZ can only get better even if it goes below 1.50...

* That was how WEMA for instance, also did when they were dumping @55k that time....... today, it hasn't gone back to that price again
* With recapitalization, all eyes on banking stocks, especially the small ones now.......how e go be....

For Jaiz, there’s only one way out. I believe the clue is in the news already.
Merger? Acquisition?
The concern is their non-interest mode of operation...
Any opinion on how this could be taking care of, should it be merged or up for acquisition?

Interesting question--maybe they will become a regional bank or mFB because I doubt anyone except Govt is willing to work with their model.

They operate both interest and non interest banking. The non interest they get share from the profits in the investment made or business

UBA staying strong in Km 24.
Looks like all the weak hands that want to jump out are out. Offers are looking only upwards 24, unlike FBNH that suffers with offers below 24 once the strategic buyers step back small. UBA needs to upgrade final dividend to at least N2 to stay positively above N20 and it can comfortably sustain such dividends going forward. That is N2.0 final and N0.5 Interim, bringing total annual dividend to N2.50. It can also comfortably aspire to grow the final dividend every year and become a trustworthy dividend growth stock like GTCO or Zenith.
