With a sublime cool and mature temperament, Emmanuelewumi, with the financial thesis and momerandum that he handed down this hour, has has proved his metus as a financial and investment guru of no mean order, whom any forward looking and dynamic economic intellectual should appreciate and aplaud without necessarily sharing his views.
It would be a rewarding enterprise for humans to jawjaw to learn instead of taking a piece of intellectual discourse as a wrestling championship duel.
My own opinion.

Should we be looking at another 20% gain in 2024, which will push the All Share Index to about 90,000.

It is very possible, our stocks are still cheap, with the current inflation and currency devaluation. Naia denominated assets will be repriced going forward

My prediction is that we will rapidly attain that in January and thereafter a very long bearish market

Should Dangote Refinery, NNPCL and some other companies start listing quarterly on NGX, would you still consider a bear stance post Q4 results?

The other day I looked at the South African Market size and my Oh my! That's a long gap from Nigeria.

Whatever that will cause severe pull is yet to be revealed. Besides, someone already talked about the Elliott waves from a TA standpoint.

But still, be on the look out.

I'm not bragging as well, I just give my kobo advise. On Femi Ote$ finger burnt. In 2006 African Petroleum (AP) was trading 300 - 320 per share, 11 years after how much did he sell FO to Adrova Plc. That is an example of finger burning. Even Elemelu self don chop his fingers in the past. Elon Musk self dey chop. No body can always beat the market, forget all these paper analysis you guys do. A smart investor focus on trading with objective of capital appreciation and not dividend.

Guy na now I sabi you know nothing about stock. I sold my forte oil at 290 which I bought at #30. So forte oil which was ote company traded at #300 plus. And ote latter sold off the business @ #65 means he burnt his finger. Are you for really. At what price was it listed or what price did he buy the company. .What was other benefits he made as the chairman of the company .I hope it was not cashcraft you worked in because those guys na minus when it comes to investment advice.

If the bear would come at all, i think it would be after 2023 company dividends have been declared, which is usually around March. I think investors would like to get their 2023 full year dividends before they begin to japa; if they would at all.
However, some prominent members of your fellow guru club think the outlook for 2024 would likely be bullish.
Whatever be the case, our finance experts here are intelligent enough to start studying the terrain right as from late January
in order to be able to suggest the trajectory for the later months of 2024.

As for me and my family, we are earnestly waiting for listing of NNPC Limited and Dangote Refinery in Nigeria Stock Exchange Market, come early/mid 2024

Someone says he takes loan based on careful analysis of the market. You don't know his asset size or anything about the person, but you spend more than an hour telling them how people have been burnt in the past and whatnot. Did he tell you that there's any issue servicing the loan if it goes south? Then there's another clown typing in pidgin just to gain attention, someone nobody gave him a single reply.

Please, let's keep posting quality stuff. I must max out my portfolio in the coming year. Thank you.

A 36yr old with rental income of 2m annually, monthly salary of between 900-1m after tax. $50k(total portfolio valuation) in crypto and $20k in dollar mutual fund, over 20m in paper profit from ngx shares but pays rent.

If this were you, would liquidate any of this asset class to purchase a home or continue to grow your networth

If you build a house for say 20m and another person invest in FGN bonds at 15 per anum, he gets 3m annually he can pay his rent with 1.5m and keep 1.5m for other investments. I personally will recommend investing first then build later from proceeds of investment especially if the building is for personal residency. In building you tie down both the value of the land and the money used in building.

Sir @emmanuelewumi, I have learn't a lot from you on this platform in 2023 and I'm extremely grateful for that.Your ability to behave with equanimity under tremendous provocation has taken my respect for you to another level. Let's all be mindful of the fact that the platform may be faceless and we may have a message with good intentions to pass across, but HOW we do so is extremely important.

Someone with a property worth N90 million getting a rental income of N4 million per annum. He got a loan of N9 million to buy a cheap land that he will pay back in 3 years or less.

Will you advice him to sell his property in order to buy the land because he doesn't want to be foolish.

Second quarter of the year, I borrowed against my Eurobond Fund investment with United Capital when Naira to dollar was less than N900 by the way it is now over N1200 to a dollar.

Bought more of Dangote Sugar at average price of less than N25.

The Eurobond Fund Investment is up, the target Investment is up. I have paid down 80% of the fund using Investment income.

It is very possible to always eat your cake and have it.

By the way Ololo of Falcon Securities was used by the former CEOs of some failed banks to perform miracle on their stock

If the Investment income from the portfolio does not make sense, one needs to be careful.

What is the Investment income from Omatek, Oando and some stocks, that does not mean some gamblers can't make money from them, it is better to create a sustainable system that will continue to generate investment income, before thinking of borrowing against future income that will be produced by the portfolio

Boss, please can you direct me on how to trade Eurobond? I wish to invest in it from next year.

You don't trade Eurobond, you invest in it. It is good for diversification,

The Investment returns between 6% to 10% per annum in dollars and also hedges currency devaluation risk. Meaning your $1000 valued at less than 500k in January 2023 is now between $1050 $1100 valued at between N1.3 million to N1.35 million

You can access 85% of the official exchange rate equivalent as a Naira loan at 20% per annum from UC Plus Advance Ltd a subsidiary of United Capital

The koko is passive income or Investment income that is more than 300% of his rent.

Anything can happen to salary.

Since his passive income or investment income is about N6 million and his rent is about N1 million.

I don't think he should rush to build a house.

He will spend about N20 million or more to buy an apartment just to avoid paying a rent of N1 million per annum,

Let the young man Japa. With all these what is he still doing in Nigeria? He can go to UK and Canada for his masters and there after behind.

Leverage is not bad, it is the bedrock of capitalism. Ability to borrow against your asset and Investments in order to harness business, economic and Investment opportunities.

Leverage is very bad, if you don't have the cash flow to service the loan but to make profit from capital appreciation which might not be certain.

A lot of fairweather investors who want quick money will get their fingers burnt in 2024.

The market return for 2023 is unprecedented, a number of fairweather who vowed not to have anything with NGX again because of what happened between 2006 and 2008 are getting interested in the market again. Meanwhile it was after 2008 that N1 million invested in United Capital turned to over N20 million, N1 million invested in Okomu turned to almost N30 million after taking bonus declared into consideration and some other stocks that have paid hefty dividends in the past

In anything Investment, consistency is more important than knowledge and intelligence. With the consistency, one will have the necessary intelligence, experience, knowledge and wisdom.

Shout out to all traders and investors who are not fairweather but have been consistent from 2006 or earlier than that till date.

You are the Most Valuable Players

I don't think the information he provided is sufficient to give a categorical advise. For example, is he married, does he have children, what's the income profile/contributions of the partner, does he have aged parents who depend on him, his cultural DNA etc
