Even in UK, they have different countries. Why can't there be different countries in Nigeria? Why put people who have different ideology of life to live together?
The problem with Nigeria is just a leadership problem. If we have good leadership, people will be ok irrespective of where you come from.

it’s the effect of bad leadership in government. In as much there’s bad leadership in power, there’s no way they won’t put out harsh economy policies against the people they are ruling. The bad economy policies is making a lot of middle income earners to travel out of Nigeria 🇳🇬..

Firstly, there are no Middle-income earners in Nigeria today... You are either Rich (not necessarily Wealthy) or Poor.

Only the Rich and Wealthy can even think of or plan to relocate abroad.

Secondly, the bad leadership didn't happen by accident... Your fellow citizens allowed them in due to ethnicity and bigotry.

So, Nigerians are the major problems of Nigerians!

Truly Nigeria is not working. But unfortunately, many people are working against the country. The so called leaders, and even the followers that we call Nigerians. Nigeria is a country, where nobody wants to follow the laws or rules but they want things to work miraculously.

now tell me if they forced themselves to power, what will the citizens do? I’ve been nursing to travel out of Nigeria since 2016 after my service year, it’s none of funds that’s putting me back. I can’t see any tangible developments in Tinubu government. Infact his government is. Much predictable in the next 8 years. Our bad system of government put this bad leadership to powers and the cycle continues. The only option for people is to leave this Nation for them. No solution in sight with bad leaders in power. And after Tinubu finished his 8 years in power, the power goes back to the northern region and the cycle of bad leadership continues. It’s the bad leaders that destroyed Nigeria to this level and not Nigerians that never have any powers to introduce harsh economic policies in our economy.

Most Nigerians are too poor to migrate if they had the money many would leave at similar rates. The problem is an entire generation of professionals has left a huge gap in the number of skilled workers available to solve country's many problems.

They run abroad because Nigeria has failed

And Nigeria has failed because it is a resource dependent country, and relies on revenue from one resource. The countries they run to, and those of us think of running to, have exporting industrial sectors, and most people there pay tax to the government. That is why they work, and why Nigeria does not work.

Honestly, Nigeria have never worked, Nigeria is not working and Nigeria would never work, let's peacefully break up this country so that smaller, more manageable true nations can emerge from it.

If you are struggling to make ends meet in the present day Nigeria, I doubt you will do any better with a smaller country.
If no custom and immigration embargos at border, cheap national calls to Lagos or Calabar instead of being expensive international call, if searching for jobs in a bigger country with Kano, Lagos, PH etc is not favouring you, if movement of cheaper foods without borders from north to South vice versa is hard for you, I doubt a smaller version of the country will be for you.
A man that is finding it hard to make head way in current Germany with opportunities of been in European union/shenghen will hardly make it in an isolated Germany with borders and embargos from the other 28 euro countries

I can't agree more with you. Nigerians are the MOST dishonest and delusional people on the face of this God's green earth. Otherwise, how can these folks see that something is NOT working, has NOT worked for many decades and will NEVER work, and yet, they are lying to themselves. They keep believing that someday and somehow, GOD will wave a magic wand and Nigeria will become this great country.

How can anyone want to stay back in a country ruined 8 years by an slowpoke called?

Just how can anyone stay if as a bull is leaving the China shop, a rabid dog is jumping in through the window?

This is the evidence that those who made excuses for Buhari for 8 years and those who killed and maimed to install Pablo escobar, did not do it for the love of country. They actually don't care if the country dies provided their worst criminals are in power.

Why do you leave the country in droves after succeeding to rig the dregs of society into power, which you so desperately wanted.?

Nigeria is not the problem. Even if Nigerians splits into 10 different countries, the problems will persist.
Nigeria is like it is because Nigerians are ungodly, hypocritical, lazy, immoral, selfish and wicked people who refuse to acknowledge that they are individually and collectively the problem with Nigeria. They prefer to point their soiled fingers at others but themselves.
Nigerians only show different /good characters abroad because the owners of those countries will immediately and severely punish them if caught. That is why when people who live abroad come back home they return to their evil nature.

what people fail to realize is migration is a distinct feature of human existence and civilization.. people migrate from America Germany Canada etc that we term developed to other places for diverse reasons... People leave various States in Nigeria to come to lagos Same way people leave Lagos to other places.. like u said how many Nigerians de migrate self.. to migrate legally to certain countries cost a fortune and it's not cheap so why do people make it seem like Nigerians are leaving Nigeria in droves...

Before you start pointing fingers.. We all make Nigeria what it is. No be today Nigrtia spoil. It is a gradual thing and the result is what we all now see. The Diezanis, the Emefieles, everyone who received money from government but gave nothing or shortchanged government are not exempted. It is the reason why only few states in Nigeria are working while others are in a state of comatose. So no be today.. Even you; yes, you. You are also part of the problem. Yahoo Yaho no be work so you are part of the decadence..

Here's a trending article I read on the world's most popular forum Quora.

"Opportunities once flowed in Nigeria as abundantly as the Niger River, but that narrative has long changed.

Nigerians, known to be resourceful, educated, and fueled by ambition are leaving the shores of their motherland in droves, not in a casual drift but in a frantic exodus.

They're running from a crucible of crises that boils and overflows, leaving a residue of despair with no extinguisher in sight.

A country of numerous resources has become a labyrinth of misfortunes. Governed by the worst of leaders who have weaponized poverty for their selfish interest—that is, when patriotic Nigerians rise to question, and fight, the government, their opponent would be fellow poor Nigerians, fighting tooth and nail for the same politicians who have kept them so.

Nigerians find themselves locked in an ever-intensifying cycle of multi-dimensional problems. From economic chaos to sometimes, unbearable insecurity, the nation's woes accumulate like sediment, each layer more crippling than the last.

The government that the masses put their hopes on as custodian of public interest, has turned the country into a family enterprise, brokering ill-advised deals that mortgage the country’s future. Deals that have dwindled the Naira's value like melting ice.

Petrol prices have soared skyward to three times what they were just months ago, pulling along dreams and ambitions into fury flames.

And yet, our leaders plead for patience in a land where patience has bled dry. With this reality, the rich find their escape routes, seeking refuge in developed countries that offer a semblance of stability, leaving behind poor Nigerians tethered by financial constraints.

The only thing that seems permanent in Nigeria has become the disheartening truth that our yesteryears often outshine our tomorrows. This mass migration of Nigerians isn’t just alarming but frightening—a "brain drain" as it's called, because it's the middle class and skilled Nigerians who are leaving the country in droves.

Those who can no longer wait for the dawn are chasing the sun elsewhere, hoping to find what has become elusive at home— a life of value, a life worth living.

Nigeria has, year after year performed below expectations and for every emigrant, the implication is clear: faith in the motherland has eroded, leaving behind only the skeletal remains of what was once a thriving belief in a shared future that Nigerians can unite and make something out of themselves for the good of everyone who calls Nigeria home."
