Almost every part of Nairaland has its unique weakness. There are moderators across sections on the forum that haven’t been online since over a month! A month!!!

It’s so bad now that the most resourceful topics on Nairaland are those from way over five years ago. Every current thread is riddled with either tribalism, misandry, misogyny, bashing and fraud.

The challenges have been discovered and how to correct them and put the forum on the right track should be paramount. If moderators are not forthcoming or found wanting, they should be fired and more competent and efficient ones hired.

For resourcefulness that Nairaland was once known for, I’d rather turn to Quora and Reddit for that now. Nairaland isn’t a social media platform. It is a FORUM AND SHOULD be operated like one. The present crop of threads on the front page are purely informational, not worthy of being described as resourceful. It doesn’t make sense that Nairaland is being postured to be “better than Twitter” when it is nowhere near the level of resourcefulness of Quora and Reddit.
