It is the start of a new year and most Christians do practice the act of fresh fruits whereby your first salary in the year or fresh profit of business, first money of your new marriage etc is given to the church.
In this harsh agbado economy in Nigeria,is it possible to practice the act of giving first fruits.

Yes. Your pastor needs that your first salary to settle a lot of bills like house rent, children's school fees, buy new car for wife and children, side chick upkeep money, expensive perfumes, private jet maintenance, etc.

My friend Carry your pastor money go give am. That's the price you're paying for being ignorant and foolish. I know what you're thinking right now, "I am not foolish". You're foolish for believing a being that is capable of creating the universe will ever need your money for anything.

Guys stop giving these pulpit bandits your hard earned money. Whoever or whatever made the universe will NEVER EVER EVER NEVER need your money for A N Y T H I N G whatsoever.

Any man who tells you he works for the maker of the universe is a thief. He works for his stomach. He must one day tell you the "all-sufficient " god he works for needs your money. The being behind the existence of the universe is not a human like Dangote, Elon Musk or Tinubu that will need workers and money. Wise up

It is expensive maintaining the church not beneficiaries necessarily cashing out.

Even second and third fruit them no go see shishi.

I've made lots of giveaway to people. I've paid WAEC fees for 20 students and I bought 5 of 50kg 4ice and shared to widows in a community around mely estate.

I believe in giving to the needy and not to some pastors. Pastors will take from these people and refused to empower them.

How can a church be after what you bring to the church.... Year-in year-out while their members are languishing in abject poverty.

How can you take the money you earned by working and just go hand it off to a man just because he calls himself a cleric?

Its always been very difficult to do and the economy has always been harsh every period of time a person

But i do not understand; rather than read, people are listening to greedy covetfull fools?

Then they wonder why God never hears nor answers and after that they become even more foolish by becoming atheist.

God is very very Good and He did not ask anyone to give their whole fruits/whole salary only just 15% of their salary o.

And even at that, this does not guarantee you will prosper and that God would answer you.

If that is what you think and wish, as far as Sweden is from south Africa is how far you are from God ever answering you.

You need to understand that Pastors who request January Salary from Church members are like high maintenance girlfriends that don't know how to manage resources. They get away with such brazen exploitation because they never give account of how church funds are managed to the congregation.

Telling people to donate their January salary to a church that would not come to their aid if the enter into financial problems is wicked and evil. I know someone that emptied his bank account to 'provoke angelic intervention '. When sapa took over his life, the pastor blamed him for not having enough faith instead of simply returning his money. Pastors that ask for January Salary are evil and should be avoided.

Lol. Anything is possible.
I understand giving as exerting my giftings and giving of my best services and products to the world as a form of blessing and the world will in turn bless me.

Mark Zuckerberg via Facebook has blessed the world and we have in turn blessed him with billions. Dangote too.. etc

False prophets have people literally in chains.

It is possible, depending if you want to give or not. Your choice.
Re: As A Christian Is It Possible To Practice First Fruit In This Harsh Economy by AntiChristian: 9:36am On Jan 14
Yes, it is possible!

Jesus fasted for 40 days and he had one/two robes to cover body! He doesn't pay rents nor have any other expenses!

Moreso, you can't dine and wine with the sinners like Jesus!

And you can't be attending weddings all the time!

Except you get miracle to turn small loaf of bread and fish to bigger ones...

The first fruit law was part of the law of righteousness.

When Jesus died our righteousness is no more what we do, but given to us by faith.

Thus the law of righteousness died with Jesus on the cross!

Rom 10:4 KJV For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Now righteousness is a gift from God.

Rom 5:17 KJV For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Which means the law of first fruits died with Jesus on the cross, no need to Enrich your pastor unnecessarily!

Thats why 1st fruits is old testament not new

Though it's still good to give the poor gifts.

LilMissFavvy:

The law of tithing died with Jesus on the cross as I explained above.

That's why Jesus never collected tithes

Who is better to collect tithes than Jesus.

Though free will offering is still encouraged but as for compulsive necessary law of tithes is dead.

2Co 9:7 KJV Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

I think the question should why how come those paying first fruit can't afford to eat too?
That tells you that it is just a free money giving to pastors to feed their families while those pay continue to lack.

Nothing like First Fruit again.

It is only in the Old Testament, but the New Testament had cancelled that, just like Tithes, only Offering is in the New Testament.

If we want to practice both the New and the Old Testament, then, let's marry as many wives as GOD beloved in the Old Testament like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Solomon, e.t.c., otherwise, let us stick to the New Testament.

Any Christian that is still talking about First Fruit is a thief that deserves to be stoned at the market square.

Please note that my opinion is as a result of my years of doing B.K. and Moral Instructions in Primary School, and C.R.K. in Secondary School. I am a Muslim, but the above is what I learned from reading the Bible.
