I don't see reason why Osayi and Aina should not start as RB and LB cuz the natural left footers Zaidu and Bruno are not better.....a real tactician would have included Ebuehi and drop one of Zaidu and Bruno cuz Ebuehi can also do it as RB and LB,
Ebuehi has not been convincing at all. I like him alot but since his injury, he plays with so much restrain and hesitancy

Perfectly said. I honestly hope buddies here can keep their emotions in check and focus on reality. List is out, then why still crying over spilled milk?

We should be talking of possible/best line up, critiquing our chances vis-a-vis opponents, instead of wailing certain [favourite] players didn't make the list.

I don't like JPes but he is still in charge and we should hope the Team performs incredibly well. Whether we like it or not, if the team fails, emotionally everyone would feel it, even Eff.

Omeruo and Oboboana did not make any mistake during Afcon 2013,they are ready and reason why Nigeria won the cup.I just hope Bassey and any partner are ready, not a tournament for mistakes or else we are out.

Sir, they did. But were well covered in the goal post by the keeper.

I watched all Fulham games except the ones with Jimenez unavailable due to red card. Tosin is wanted by top clubs not even cos of his defensive qualities but how good he is on the ball.
Fulham CB pairing of Bassey and Tosin with Jimenez in attack has conceeded just one goal in matches they all played together! Demolishing Arsenal, Westham etc in the process!

I respect Ajayi's qualities but he is not better than Tosin! He also struggles with pacey players!
BascoVanVeli:

That means u don't watch Fulham. Tosin is a mistake waiting to happen on the ball. Asking him to do anything outside of passing sideways is asking for a problem. Tosin and Semi are both tall guys who dominate aerialy so u acting like they are night and day is just cap.

i just can't phantom the rationale why the super eagles choose to camp in Dubai when they could have camped in nigeria, considering our proximity with tournament host.
Well, on one hand, camping away from Nigeria can help kee the players from distraction by fans, journalists, agents and all those clout chasing politicians. On another hand, the training facilities over there might well be better than what we have here.

Well, they may hit form.
Class is temporary but form is permanent.
If the musa of the 2018 world cup and 2016 to 2020 can come back again then we are good to go.
If the skillfull briliant Sadiq Umar comes back again then its okay. At least he is playing regularly for his club
Maybe the coach can see something in training.
Let us wait and see but i doubt it.
Talent is talent and a talented player might rise to the occasion. It happens in football.

Tell me beyond obscure league and backwater clubs was Sadiq ever any of these things in the bold.

You are over hyping

I'll take Semi over Tosin. For me they cancel each other out defensively but Semi is much better on the ball.

When other nations prepping for Afcon are playing known teams with utmost serioisness, our SE are playing unnamed /unknown team in UAE. Recipe for failure showing its ugly head allover. When one hear of the team list alone, of course that team will have little to no victory in them in the Afcon proper.

Baba no insult but I go advise mk u concentrate in monitoring the progress of our NPLF clubs/players 🤣🤣🤣

Tosin hv been magnificent for Fulham and one of the best CBs in the Epl towards the end of last year

For you to not rate him implies u no Dey watch Fulham games

It was a short moment of brillance, I saw during the game which might not appear on highlights! Moffi did nothing substantial for 70 minutes! Nothing! None deserves that last sport than Sadiq at the moment.
I have been an ardent critique of Sadiq on this platform. I give my analysis devoid of sentiment!
i don't think I'm against him being in the squad if the coach want to go with seven strickers. What caught my attention was when you use the word brillant and skillful to discribe Sadiq.

I would disagree.

I will be very BRUTAL, he plays like an aboki, no football âš½ intelligence and very limited technical ability.

Plenty of running and stamina but almost no end product. Aina is not a LB but has far more football intelligence technical ability and end 🔚 PRODUCT. In this regard Aina is better, don't know much about Bruno apart from doesn't seem to be getting much game time and is not first choice.

Why is he selected for the SE 🤔

What do you mean "Plays like an aboki?"

What did he do special against West Ham and Arsenal? Bassey is the one I see back there doing anything to help the attack. Anybody can pass sideways.

There has not been one time I have seen him on the ball and said wow. He is average on ball.

Dessers is one of Rangers worst player
Akor hasn't scored in almost 2 months
Orban has no league goals in 3 months
Akpom unfamiliar with African football
Moffi has not been impressive in the SE jersey. He always look out of place on the field!

Paserio made the right choice in attack. Asper Nwakali, I agree with you!
What about Sadiq that is being invited ahead of Moffi? You think Sadiq is better than him?

Stubborn and obstinate Jpes
I saw the line up,I no shock.

Same line up he will deploy against Guinea tomorrow,I believe.

I don't think he has plans to field Nwabili tomorrow.

Okoye is out of National team duties to improve himself and get better. His second start in the Italian Seria A.

If Uzoho fumbles he should forget about dorning the green white green again.
Self worth and respect would have made him stay away from the team with the array of blunders he has committed that has caused us games severally.

I’m really upset with Uzoho’s performances for the past two years, but then I rewatch the highlights of Man UTD and Omonoia years back when he had a deep motivation against his childhood club and I become to understand José Peseiro’s perspective. Anyway it’s still dumb sha until we’re proven wrong grin

Lol CAPISTAN strikes again.

Aboki with 'no football brain' has won every domestic trophy available in Portugal infact scored the winning goal to clinch the 22/23 Portuguese league title.

No end product features regularly in UEFA Champions League with goals and assists to his name something none of his fellow LBs in the national team have achieved.

Limited technical ability has the same number of assists as Ola Aina in the SE with lesser games but he's the one with no football IQ.

Sometimes Komekn do your research before commenting on every subject not every time open your mouth Wuaaahhhh!

Jpes never gave other goalkeepers the opportunity to prove their mettle.
Even in meaningless games,he did not test other goalkeepers.

I will not show up if I was not given a chance when I know I was better than Uzoho
The only chance Adeleke Adeyele of Jerusalem Ha'poel got, did he not do better than Uzoho?
Jpes and the goalkeepers trainers are just bias

Yea that match was amazing
He did so well

But a player is as good as his last game
So he hasn't covered himself with glory in the last few games. Making school boy errors

Also he is too Relax because no one is competing with him so he is not working on improving himself

Rather replaying angry fans
"If e easy come play make Oyibo man sign you"

Imagine the high of it

I've noticed that on this thread that once you like or don't particularly like a player objectivity flies out the window pesin dey play for the best team in Portugal and one of the stalwarts of European football regularly but guy wey dey the same league playing for a lesser team is way better smh.

Marjoribanks:
Osayi and Aina proved to be our weakest link in the two world cup qualifiers played! The last time Zaidu played he was instrumental to us defeating S/Leone! Bruno was one of the best players on the field in all the matches he started for us while Ebuehi was atrocious against the Saudis. I don't understand the criteria for dropping either Zaidu/Bruno (FC Porto and Boavista LBs)!

If they scored 6 in the first half and could not score 1 in the second half then there is a problem for us. It meant the local team they played were nervous in the first half and when they got their acts together and right in the second half, we were no where to be found.
