I prefer Bruno to Zaidu. Im not sure about his current form. And I hope Stanley makes first choice cause, he's currently doing better than the others.

Bruno hasn't totally been convincing in the role sha.

Never knew Simon can still play right wing. Last time I saw him play there was against Cameroon in 2018 WCQ.

When VicMo was still in the team, he and Simon often switched wings during games... With Lookman, I hope we can see that again.

Bro nothing. We have been with this same MF all the while. I have seen different combinations of these personnel. I already know that they are not capable of winning any MF battle unless Yusuf and to some extent Onyedika brings something different. Just expect to see ball pinging from defence to the attackers. Truth is I have not seen a match we dominated the MF play and dictated the tempo of the game with them.
I miss Mikel & Vic mo.

.....maybe we should beg Mikel to come back from retirement just for this tourney, then do everything possible to convince VicMo as well right?!

It seems like Iheanacho will join the team in Lagos. Might get restricted minutes at the AFCON..

Meanwhile, Owngoal are reporting that Peseiro is trying out Omeruo and Bassey partnership.

Why risk taking a half fit Iheanancho to the tourney?.
Jpes should immediately invite Moffi or Nwakali...

Why did they name a 25 man list while others were naming a 27 ?
Or are they not aware that injuries can hamper the team?

We have depleted our attack
Iheanach half fit
Sadiq Umar not exactly in form
Ahmed Musa not exactly a n form
However we may get lucky and Musa and Sadiq may suddenly hit form.
Our clownish and incompetent coaches are a serious issue

Omeruo is an expired drug there is nothing to try out, IMO.

KC is supposedly injured and may incur the wrath of his club, although he is no longer a crucial player for them.

After 20+ games in the Championship he has scored 5 goals and is joint 35th in the Championship πŸ† alongside 16 other players. It's not exceptional and outstanding quality currently.

My brother, Awaziem has two afcon in his belt already. Talk about experience? He has it n was obviously our best defender in last two afcon. Omeruo's age will show, forget about experience. I won't be surprised Omeruo's real age is close to 40, his experience will be needed to defend a lead in dieing minutes of games

Awaziem is low level player both in club and the SE , has never been outstanding in the SE a liability as a wing back and limited ability as a CB as well as slow as a snail 🐌.

I can help ,the coaches decisions are NOT founded on objectivity and merit πŸ€” but seemingly comedic jokingly πŸ˜ƒ flippant irrational sentiment.

And finally lack competence, knowledge and ability to deliver.

That's how I read it.

I would disagree.

I will be very BRUTAL, he plays like an aboki, no football ⚽ intelligence and very limited technical ability.

Plenty of running and stamina but almost no end product. Aina is not a LB but has far more football intelligence technical ability and end πŸ”š PRODUCT. In this regard Aina is better, don't know much about Bruno apart from doesn't seem to be getting much game time and is not first choice.

Why is he selected for the SE πŸ€”
I don't see reason why Osayi and Aina should not start as RB and LB cuz the natural left footers Zaidu and Bruno are not better.....a real tactician would have included Ebuehi and drop one of Zaidu and Bruno cuz Ebuehi can also do it as RB and LB,

Same thing I feel

I want Aina to play the LB position
While bright Osayi in RB

But Na Jp anything can happen
we might just see 4-4-2
Osayi and Aina starting will assist our midfield and gives us real build up from the back.

President Tinubu has approved the payment of N12billon outstanding backlog for Nigeria’s National teams of various sports, which includes super eagles and others.

The payment entails the clearing of the senior national team coach salaries running up to 15 months, payments of allowances and promises due to the senior national teams, females, and Under-20 national team.

This is coming at a time when the Super Eagles of Nigeria are preparing to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations, which is billed to start later this month.

Any reason for them not to be motivated?!

The likes of Dessers,Akor,Orban, Akpom,Moffi should have made the cut...

Jpes should not take a half fit KC to the Afcon

What if Umar and Musa do not hit form?

I will personally prefer Nwakali to replace KC
Too many similar players in the middle of the park
We need Nwakali skillet.

Peseiro has been in charge of the team for close to 2 years and yet the midfield
and defence is suspect.
The team is still struggling and is not really improving.
We have not beaten any decent team and sometimes struggle to win poor teams
Under Rohr we drew with Brazil and defeated cameroon, algeria and even argentina in a friendly.
Under Eguavon we defeated Egypt and drew with Ghana away
Under peseiro we lost4 nil to portugal and we draw against horrible teams.
Apert from that his player selections and tactical decisions are very poor.
He is not even showing signs of improving the team. He should please try and do something impressive.
He does only a few things right (like osayi samuel in the team is good) but most of the time his decisions
sound very ignorant.

Well, they may hit form.
Class is temporary but form is permanent.
If the musa of the 2018 world cup and 2016 to 2020 can come back again then we are good to go.
If the skillfull briliant Sadiq Umar comes back again then its okay. At least he is playing regularly for his club
Maybe the coach can see something in training.
Let us wait and see but i doubt it.
Talent is talent and a talented player might rise to the occasion. It happens in football.
