Let it not be what I am thinking. Maybe this will create enmity between the Nigerian Army and the politicians.

Nigeria is where it is because soldiers keep mute at the decisions and corruptions of politicians because politicians use them as guard and security.

Once the military starts to take action when necessary No politician can misbehave

Sanwo-olu and military friendship is much deeper. Like SARS, end brutality.
You are wrong. The soldier is useless for breaking the law

Gov Sanwo-Olu ordered a soldier to be arrested and locked up for riding bike on “one-way” lane Meanwhile, the same Sanwo-Olu was caught driving on “one-way” lane with his long convoy.

This is the life of the average politician in Nigeria. They make rules then use them to oppress the POOR or common Nigerian.

This, in any way, doesn’t exonerate the soldier. He should be made to face the penalty of his unlawful act
Sanwo Olu is the chief security officer of Lagos state,he can drive against traffic but with caution.

Two arms of government dragging who is allowed to commit crimes or follow one way.

The governor follows one way on Daily basis even local governor Chairmen and councilors use one way in Nigeria, it's a common knowledge. Agbero touts working for governors use one way.

Do you think the governor has the right to arrest another government official for committing traffic offence that he the governor breaks on Daily basis

What if top military officers decide to arrest the governor any time he uses one way

No one is allowed to break the law. Even Tinubu is not above the law.

These officials suppose to obey the law more than ordinary citizens because they are custodians of the law and judiciary.

In the case of 'force majeure'.The Chief security officer of a country, state, local government or community can act otherwise.

Wearing uniform doesn't make you an officer as we have seen countless of fake uniform personnels. The man is a clown looking for cheap popularity.

Being a soldier doesn't mean one has the right to flout traffic rules.

I wonder what manner of school these so called soldiers went to.

He called him a "useless boy" because he acted like one. If he had caused an accident, opinions would be different.

"I am a soldier" said the alleged soldier. I used alleged because he might not even be one. If he is indeed a soldier, then he is meant to maintain an high level of discipline instead of him caught breaking the law.

The Defence Headquarters didn't issue official statement.

Now, even non-military men are pretending to be military men, and airing their albeit useless opinions.

The guy wasn't even on uniform when he was arrested.

I guess when he said 'I'm a soldier', the gov should have saluted him instead.

You are right, however I think what infuriated Sanwoolu was the guy insistence that he was a soldier. So because you're a soldier, Sanwoolu should exonerate you and lock up the civilians that were arrested. A soldier that should be seen upholding the laws of the land is the one breaking it and people are coming to his defense. It is because people hype the soldiers, that's why you see them saying bloody civilians. Does Soldiers in advanced countries like Canada, US and UK call their citizens bloody civilians?

You are close to being insane.

Your hatred for the tribe of the content creator is greater than your condemnation of the soldier simply because the soldier is from your tribe.

Those that paid your school fees made a bad investment. You deserved to have been morning more than an apprentice to a palm wine tapper in your remote village

This Officer should shut his " dirty useless mouth " there. How can he open his dirty ogogoro drinking mouth to call a governor "dirty bloody" civilian? Because you have WAEC and carry AK47 ?

What makes these fools think it's ok to abuse civilians but it's not ok to abuse a soldier?

We will respect and appreciate them only when they are taught to behave like real soldiers with respect for civilians.
have been waiting for this comment since how come nobody is saying anything about it except u . Calling a civilian useless. That ogogoro general na bastard

All these idiots with their untrained voice and dirty accent doing voiceover on YouTube should stop. Just let the video play or use written narrative.

The army officer must be a product of inbreeding.

So because soldiers are killed while doing their jobs is a reason for them to break the law at will?

These army bastards who lack discipline and training and exposure still assume they are better or superior to civilians. You're not.

Lazy ragtag army that has been reduced to boyscout by BH, world's strongest armies in US, France, UK, Russia etc are under civilian rule and authority and this washed out , dirty illiterate Nigeria army who can't even know their roles in society are filled with so much baseless ego.

Dirty fools.

Soldiers have one mind.

An insult to one is an insult to all.

The Governor had better tread carefully before shit happens.

Are you trying to defend the action of the soldier who broke the law? You people want the country to be better and here you cannot condemn the law breaker rather you're envisaging what soldiers might do.

If a soldier.... his superiors should take disciplinary action against him. It is true an active soldier ... in uniform ... is not supposed to be arrested and detained or tried in civilian court. But such a soldier is supposed to follow the road rules ... this one ... like many others .... believes he is above the law and this his superiors should address. Soldiers hav3 no business with civilians ... the reason I'm disappointed that Tinubu does not make this separation ..... soldiers stopping civilians ... doing the job of Police. Soldiers belong in the barracks.
