I also want to use my personal funds and cousin (canada PR) as additional sponsor for living expenses.

Will there be any issues during my visa application?

Thank you for you reply. Her current role is mentoring and supervising new students.

zubizareta:

What's her current job role? This isn't an issue. Ensure she seeks for admission into a program currently related to software development and what she is currently doing I believe will be related to software development. Anyone can change career path at early stage shortly after graduation to any career different from what the person studied in first degree. She has chosen a career path in software development and IT. So she should seek a program related to IT, hence, actually providing a platform for the exponential growth of her career. Goodluck.

Just send a webform input your UCI and application number and attach your upfront medical sheet and send.
With your UCI number and application number IRCC wil be able to identify you and they will forward your medical sheet to the department and visa officer handling your application.
Simple, you don’t need to make any call

No, if you already have a study permit approved and you want to change institution before you enter Canada you will have to apply for another study permit and pay all the fees, my advice is to defer to May despite the increase of Trent University tuition fee.
GODISGREAT01:
Morning great men and women,

Please, I need a quick response. My friend who's helping out as a free agent just said something, which I quickly want to confirm before I proceed

I was given admission at Trent university, as a matter of fact, today is the resumption day, but my decision envelope is yet to be gotten.

I told him to help me defer till may, so he said Trent university has increased school fees, so he suggested that I apply for another course at cape Brenton university, but he said I should pay 1,000 CAD to Trent University as initial payment, but will resume to Cape Brenton university by May once I get the offer letter.

I want to know if this is right and hope it doesn't have any negative effect on my chances at port of entry or school itself?

So, if one does not present either degree certificate or transcript, he will be denied visa??

But the school has access all these before granting the admission….which the admission letter must have covered.

No, you will not be eligible to transit from PGWP to SOWP. Your wife can switch to study but you initially with a Study permit & SOWP will not be eligible for SOWP. So you can try other options EE, PNP.

Have you contacted a Professor at the department of your choice? I think this is the first step for you to secure this scholarship. Having a Professor ready to accept you as his research student is the first step in the right direction. You should also check if IELTS is a requirement for Nigerians doing PhD in the program. Some schools in Canada waive IELTS for Nigerians.

I hope the above helps

The school does not check the authenticity of your degree or transcript. Only UK require pin verification for WAEC.
Canadian schools even univeristy only focus on your cover letter and qualification documents. Most Canadian school also requires WES as means of verification which most College in Canada don't. They believe the task is left for IRCC because its a shared document which they believe you must apply with at their consulate.
If IRCC want to do there job as per background check, all federal and state uni in Nigeria that is most popular, like Unilag, Uniben, Uniport, UniMed, UniAbJ, and likes gets verified through their tertiary system robot verification.
It works with the knowledge of the school authorities and auditorium.
Why do you think schools in Canada when filling their portal and you are asked your university abroad your school will pop up automatically. And if your school is not in the system it will ask you to select (OTHER). These folks are wizards.

All thanks to the presido who have even open the eyes of America/Canada to the importance of your local degree cert before migrating to acquire from there own Univeristy or college. Chicago University comes to mind... lol 😆

The banks allowing 50k GIC do not give to Nigerians. If you know of anyone, please share. CIBC allows a maximum of 20k in a single deposit.

I hear it’s possible. I declined using them cos I am still not confident and moreover the interest is high. But for those who don’t have the funds, please use it.

You’re still fighting yourself? It’s time for u to move on. This ur obsession with this topic is giving “me..n…t…a…l problem”.

I submitted my transcript and certificate to my school to get admission. I didn’t need to submit it to the VO to get my visa approved and I got it. If anyone has to do it. By all means do it. As a lot of people have mentioned. There are instances u may need to submit it for visa application and there are instances that it isn’t compulsory. Stop shoving ur “compulsory documents” down our throat. I’m tired of coming here and seeing u whine about transcript and certificate. Move the F…..k on!!!!!!!!

I believe everyone seeking for visa approval needs to focus on 2 major things
1. POF- Prove that u have sufficient funds to cover ur tuition and living expenses. Include all proper documentation to prove ur source of funds(read through the thread to see all documentation u will need) avoid lump sums without proper documentation/explanation
2. Home/Economic tie- Try and prove to the VO that u have sufficient ties in nigeria to bring u back home after study.(eg. Your family, your job, your business etc)

There are Other areas to focus on like your SOP. Write a clear, self explanatory SOP. Highlight your points clearly. Let it be easy for anyone to read and understand.

No document is compulsory in Visa application except the normal ones listed on IRCC website that is compulsory..( That’s why everyone that has come here to drop PPR has a different list of document. Each unique depending on what they feel is important. Add everything if it makes u feel comfortable

All the best
