I think after the upgrade to HyperOs the Turbo charge does not display anymore. I may be wrong but that is what I noticed. What I get since I upgraged my Redmi Note 12 to HyperOs is the Quick Charge.

Compare the dollar price of the RN12 and RN8 from 2019 and see the pricing hasn't really changed from the manufacturer side.

Na the new catch be this for manufacturers. Imagine almost 64K for extra 256gig strorage! 8 gig ram is more than sufficient for that processor. For the extra almost 64k one can get a 1 Terabyte SSD and use as external memory/ backup, there will still be enough change to buy accessories like a good earpiece plus screen protector .

Modified: I nr even see the price of the pro+ version. The Poco f5 is obviously a better deal.

1. Note 12 4G is newer(android 13 out of the box, M5 is android 12 out of the box)
2. Processing speed: note 12 has 2.8Ghz, M5 2.2Ghz.
3. Main camera: M5 does not have ultra wide, note 12 has.
4. Selfie camera: M5 has 8Mp, note 12 has 13Mp.
5. Charging: note 12 charge faster (33W), M5 is 18W.
Unless if these difference does not matter to you, Poco M5 is not better than redmi note 12 4G.

2. You see that processing speed you mentioned, you don't even know the CPUs in charge. Helio g99 performs better than snapdragon 685. Pls look again

3. Yes I agree that there's no ultrawide and I hardly use it in my present phone. Both phones use the same 50mp sensor at the rear but Poco does better with the photos especially in well lit environments due to the CPU and GPU. Both produce poor night shots note 12 4G however has EIS when recording videos.

In conclusion, Poco performs better but Redmi note 12 4G has better display if display and design is your priority. It's the Redmi note 12 5G that beats POCO M5 cos of the snapdragon 4 gen 1

Just updated to hyper OS thinking it'll change or show the options to change.

Redmi 12 is supposed to be a low end device. Some features have to be stripped off either so the device can run smoothly or to differentiate it from higher devices. I know of some low end Samsung galaxy A series that doesn't have the cast/mirror feature.

I know it's not in every aspect. I already highlighted them. Poco m5 would outperform Redmi note 12 4g anytime. You can see that the snapdragon 685 is an overclocked version of the 680 4g used in Redmi 10c. Helio G99 is way ahead of both. Xiaomi used the AMOLED display, punch hole design and 120hz refresh rate to give people an impression that the Redmi note 12 4g is better. The reason why the note 12 is more expensive than the Poco m5 is the AMOLED display. Did you also notice that The snapdragon 685 variant was pushed to Africa market while the snapdragon 4 gen 1 variant was made for the international market? I actually prefer the 4 gen 1 as it is more powerful
