But why will the big players benefit? Take your time and analyze an article on Healthline, you will notice one post will rank for hundreds of queries and take the featured snippets for over 50 of those queries. Is it because of authority? Well maybe but it's more than that.

Look at the content, it is just too pretty to behold and you will lick your screen. Each paragraph is beautifully packed with in-depth information that wins numerous featured snippets.

You don't need to quote 17k sources, you just need to be active and not passive. What do you mean by 'there are certain enzymes that aids digestion' why not mention the name of the enzymes?

I was devoring the diabetic niche few weeks back, lots of easy keywords, but guess who is ranking for things they didn't even write about? Healthline and with each article, it becomes clearer.


Pls, don't just blog, blog and be making research so you can keep your site updated to all googles perks to avoid being shoved down the SERPs.

Which is better? Well, it depends.

When that dude came here blabbing his mouth after all he learned from me, he felt he was spoiling my name, he didn't know he was about to open my eyes to new domains.

Expired domains

Expired domains work like a charm, they already have authority and rank pretty quickly (especially when you get good ones), but the issue is that most people don't know how to look for good ones, they think just about any expired domain works... Lies.

I go through a lot to find a good expired domain. First of all, visit

feinternational.com/website-penalty-indicator/?url=iwcoffice.org&semdb=us&captcha=3yhn&prefix=182941040

This will show you the history of the site with Google penalty. You'll be able to tell if the site is penalized. The link shows if the traffic of any site dropped during any of Google's updates.


Secondly, use sem+#&÷÷rush to check the traffic performance, backlinks, incoming anchor, and other information that are useful to you.

Next, use archive.org to check the history of the site; if it was used for Chinese garbage, PBN, link farm, or po+#&&rn.


Advantages of an expired domain

First of all, an expired auction domain is the best. Securing a site during the first auction before it is deleted is the best option: the site will get to retain its age and full strength.


* You rank fast
* You outperform smaller sites that are already existing in the niche.
* You will reap from where you did not sow.
* Imagine securing Nairaland from an auction, what power do you think will be in your hands? Exactly.

Cons

This con is not for expired auction, rather, it is for deleted domains and pending deleted domains.

*Ranks high but some pages can just disappear from the serps for no reason at all.


The way forward is; if you get an expired domain that is not an Auction Expired Domain, place it in two articles and leave it for 3 months before you start blogging on it.

If you read right, there a 3 types of those expired domains. A GoDaddy auction domain or a namesilo auction domain that still has its pages indexed is never 2-3 out of 70.

And those auctions run into $500 to $100k and above. But you see those deleted and pending delete, it's always 50/50. Hence, I stress on Expired Auction Domains (not cheap to secure). If a site like Nairaland expires, do you think you can secure it at auction for less than $100k?

Imagine you secure Nairaland from an auction, is it going to be 50/50? No! Age and authority are both retained.

When a site first expires, it runs through an auction for 30 days, in which the owner can still renew, and despite whoever is winning that auction, the bids will be reversed.

In a case where the owner doesn't secure his site within that first 30 days if you win the bid, I guarantee you'll have no problems, so far you don't change niche.

At this point, all pages are still ranking on the SERPs, you can restore them all for archive.org and inherit the traffic and possible earnings.

There is a long list of checklists before you decide to do an auction for a domain. Most of you keep getting the wrong domains because you check DA (s if it is a Google metric). What you need to check are these other things I have listed.

I don't usually use the Moz metric, but it is an important metric for motioninvest and the like. And it is something you need to consider, so you don't judge your progress harshly.

What referring domain means is; the number of unique sites that send a backlink to you.

For instance, if Nairaland sends 10 links to your article, what you have is 10 backlinks and 1 referring domain.

According to Google, the site is over 10 years old, but according to Motioninvest, the site was built on an expired domain in 2021 and has amassed over 453 articles with roughly 26k traffic.

An average of 57 visits per article every month.


Now, you can see the site's strength comes from age and great links, but that doesn't mean new domains can't work.

According to, the homepage has 110 referring domains, and looking at the backlinks, most of them were made before 2021 and they seem to be coming from food niches.

So, if I am correct, the owner turned a food niche into a celebrity niche. That's wow!
If you have the money, go for a nondrop expired domain on the niche you choose, of not, new domains work just fine. I have registered over 4 new domains, and they are not doing badly.
